Transforming lives in endometriosis:
She came all the way from the serene hills of Sikkim… carrying years of pain, hope, and unanswered questions.
A history of previous surgery. Persistent symptoms. Extensive endometriosis and adenomyosis with dense adhesions that had taken over her normal life.
When she walked into our hospital, she wasn’t just a patient—she was someone who had almost begun to accept pain as a part of living.

Some surgeries truly test the limits of skill and perseverance…
A Grade IV endometriosis case—operated thrice before and once even abandoned—presented with severe, debilitating pain. Intraoperatively, the disease had densely encased the ureter and tethered it to the bowel, completely distorting normal anatomy.
A Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy was performed. Careful, meticulous adhesiolysis was carried out, with constant attention to ureteric safety and bowel integrity at every step.
Despite the complexity, all structures were preserved safely, and the surgery was completed successfully.
Most importantly—she is now pain-free and reclaiming her life.

At the Endometriosis Foundation of India Congress 2026, I had the privilege of contributing in multiple roles — moderating a packed-house panel on Microwave Ablation in Adenomyosis & Fibroids, delivering a talk on “ABCDE – Anyone Can Develop Expertise in Endometriosis” for young endoscopic surgeons, and sharing insights during the Live surgery MRI–Ultrasound correlation session for advanced endometriosis.
The energy of the audience, the relentless questions, and the enthusiasm of young surgeons made the experience truly unforgettable.
Moments like these reaffirm one belief:
