Syringing of ear at body temperature has been a big challenge to all ent surgeons. I have stopped using my vey costly Opd unit for this as one can’t assure sterility of the water used. This milk warmer of Phillips or other companies can be very conveniently used to clean any ear even with perforation of tympanic membrane. It can be exactly set on 37 degree Celsius by calibrating with our routine thermometer. We can put normal saline or Ringer lactate for syringing.
We avoid syringing induced vertigo with this.
I use Ringer Lactate for this.
