PRP FOR HAIR LOSS

What is PRP Hair Treatment ?

PRP, also known as Platelet Rich Plasma, is one of the best solutions for hair loss.

PRP hair treatments are used in various forms of hair loss such as male pattern baldness, female pattern baldness, and scalp folliculitis, an inflammation of hair follicles around the scalp.
It is effective in stimulating hair regrowth, reducing inflammation and increasing the thickness and volume of the hair.

PRP procedure is performed in the following three stages :

Firstly, blood is collected from the patient’s arm and centrifuged.
After 10 minutes, blood will be separated into three parts – platelet poor plasma, platelet rich plasma, and red blood cells.
Platelet rich plasma is then injected back into the scalp that is in need of hair growth.
There is no recovery time for this procedure and is considered safe.

Side effects and risk

Some of the noted side effects are as follows

Injury to blood vessels
Infection
Calcification at the injected points
Scar tissue
PRP hair regrowth treatments will not be recommended to those who are excessive smokers or consume too much of alcohol.

derma roller for skin
They are devices used in the process of skin needling. This is also referred as microneedling treatment or collagen induction therapy.

How it works ?
The actual dermaroller is made up of a small solid wheel attached to a little stick that propels it backwards and forwards across your face/scalp in small sections. The numerous tiny needles pe*****te skin to a depth of up to 2mm (depending upon the needle length).

This process has two major benefits:

Effectively stimulates collagen production. The microscopic punctures stimulate collagen in dermal layer and it breaks some of the blood vessels directly below the surface of the skin. As the blood clots, creates the right environment for collagen and elastin formation.
Provides a clear channel for tropical gels or creams to be absorbed more effectively through top layer of skin.
Derma roller Treatment / Dermapen treats :

Fine lines and wrinkles.
Anti ageing / Skin tightening.
Acne scars- pitted scars.
Open pores
Skin texture improvement.
Stretch marks.
Hair loss.
What is the procedure ?

Most patients describe microneedling treatment procedure as “uncomfortable” but not painful. Topical local aesthetic creams are applied to make dermaroller treatment comfortable.

Usually 2-5 sessions are required for the optimal result. Face, Hands, Neck, Back, Chest and Scalp can be treated. Generally you will experience some redness of the skin for few hours after procedure.

Microneedling Treatment – Who is it for?

Patients with acne scaring, fine lines, those who are looking to improve skin texture and tightness. It can be done on all skin types from light to dark.

Cystic pimples occur when, on the human skin, large, reddish and painful growth, filled with a liquid or gel like substance appears. This happens when the opening of the skin’s oil glands become blocked, usually with dead cells, and become infected. This goes deep into the skin leading to reddish, pus filled growth we call, the pimple.

This will hurt and itch severely. And, if it bursts, the infection will spread. These are to be treated immediately, as they can affect large portions of the skin and leave ugly scars.
