Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy Students Secure 3rd Rank in National Level Review Article Competition

Buldhana, October 2025:
Students from Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldhana achieved remarkable success by securing the 3rd Rank (Consolation Prize) in the National Level Online Review Article Writing Competition on the theme “AI in Pharmacy”, organized by Shraddha Institute of Pharmacy, Washim, in collaboration with Academic Decipher, Mumbai.

The participating team comprised Mr. Aniket Tompe, Ms. Naina Dhage, and Ms. Pooja Wagh, who presented an insightful review article highlighting the applications and future potential of Artificial Intelligence in the field of pharmacy and healthcare. The team was expertly guided by Prof. Rushikesh Diware and Prof. Satish Shelke.

The achievement was highly appreciated by the Honorable Management and Principal Dr. Shirish Jain, who congratulated the students and mentors for their outstanding performance and dedicated efforts.

This accomplishment reflects the institute’s continuous commitment to promoting academic excellence, research orientation, and innovation among its students.

The Youth Festival 2025-26 was jointly organized by Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU) and Smt. Kesharbai Lahoti College, Amravati. Under the valuable guidance of our respected Principal Dr. Shirish Jain, the Youth Festival Incharges — Mr. Rohit Salkute, Ms. Meena Bhalake, and Ms. Dwiptesha Dahake — took the responsibility of leading and coordinating the college’s participation in this grand event.
A total of 36 students from our college enthusiastically participated in various categories, including Theatre, Music, Literary Events, and Fine Arts. The event was inaugurated on 7th October 2025 in the esteemed presence of dignitaries from SGBAU, marking the beginning of an energetic and creative four-day celebration.
On the first day, all literary events were conducted, where our students showcased their linguistic and intellectual abilities. On the second day, our college teams participated in the Indian Group Song, Poster Making, and On-the-Spot Painting competitions under the guidance of Prof. Rohit Salkute. The third day witnessed active participation from RSCP students in One Act Play, Skit, Folk Dance, and Mime events, guided by Prof. Meena Bhalake and Prof. Dwiptesha Dahake. On the final day, various art-related events such as Rangoli, Mehendi, and Qawwali were conducted, where our students displayed exceptional creativity and artistic flair. The Valedictory Function was held on 10th October 2025, during which the winners of different events were felicitated for their achievements. The festival served as a vibrant platform for students to explore and express their hidden talents while experiencing teamwork, leadership, and cultural exchange. Throughout the festival, Prof. Rohit Salkute also served as an Observer, appointed by the orders of the Vice-Chancellor, SGBAU, Dr.Nilesh Kadu( NSS Coordinator, SGBAU) and Dr. Rajiv Borkar ( Students Development Officer, SGBAU) contributing significantly to the smooth and successful conduct of the event. The entire management and our Principal, Dr. Shirish Jain, appreciated the commendable efforts of the Youth Festival coordinators, faculty mentors, and all participating students for their enthusiastic representation of the college at the Inter-College Youth Festival 2025-26.
The four-day festival was truly a memorable experience, fostering creativity, collaboration, and youth leadership — a celebration of talent and spirit that enriched everyone involved.

We are delighted to share the successful completion of a One-Week Workshop on “Naandi Foundation’s Mahindra Pride Classroom’s Employability with Empathy for Girls”, hosted at Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldana from 22nd to 28th Sept. 2025.

This IQAC initiative, conducted by the Career Development Cell, focused on enhancing employability skills while nurturing confidence, empathy, leadership, and communication abilities among our girl students. The sessions went beyond career readiness, aiming to instill a growth mindset and emotional intelligence for lifelong impact. This workshop was coordinated by our Officer-on-Special Duty Dr. Somnath Swami Vibhute

✨ Special thanks to our expert trainers Mr. Krunal Zalke and Mr. Gautham C. Menon for their engaging sessions, and to Mr. Anurag Patankar, Program Manager (Training & Placements), for his dedication.

Awareness Session on POCSO Act and Prevention of Sexual Harassment Held at Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy

Buldhana: An impactful awareness session on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was organized at Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy by the NSS unit in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Buldhana under the guidance of Dr. Shirish Jain(Principal, RSCP).
The session aimed to educate students and the general public about the POCSO Act, child protection laws, and preventive measures against sexual harassment at the workplace.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. Prakash Kendre, Vice Principal, who stressed the importance of spreading awareness about child protection laws to build a safe and secure environment for children.

The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Vikrant Marodkar, Member of DLSA, Buldhana, who elaborated on the provisions, objectives, and legal framework of the POCSO Act. He guided the audience on reporting mechanisms and legal procedures in cases of child sexual abuse, urging everyone to remain vigilant and responsible.

Another chief guest, Adv. Ms. Sarika Bholane, highlighted the issue of women’s safety at workplaces. She discussed preventive strategies and emphasized the consequences of sexual harassment, encouraging students to foster respectful and safe work environments.

The session was graced by Dr. Shailesh Kewatkar (HOD, Pharmacognosy), Dr. Ashish Gawai (HOD, Pharmaceutical Chemistry), and all female staff members of the college.

The program was anchored by Mr. Rohit Salkute, NSS Program Officer, who ensured the smooth flow of the event. The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Meena Bhalake, appreciating the resource persons, dignitaries, participants, and NSS volunteers.

NSS volunteers played a vital role in coordinating, managing logistics, and ensuring the success of the event.

This awareness drive left a lasting impact on participants, underlining the significance of the POCSO Act and sensitization against sexual harassment in building a safer society.
