The HIV Testing Laboratory under the Microbiology Department of Kozhikode Medical College, managed by the Kerala AIDS Control Society, has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) as per ISO 15189:2022 standards.

This accreditation, effective retrospectively from 2024, certifies the lab to meet the most modern and globally recognised standards.

At this laboratory, HIV testing is provided free of cost to patients without requiring OP tickets or referrals. Additionally, vital follow-up tests for HIV-positive individuals—such as CD4 testing and viral load testing—are also completely free
