The Board of Studies meeting was organized by the University School of Physiotherapy & Radiology, Rayat Bahra University, Kharar and was held on 22nd January 2026 . This meeting marked the first initiative to approve the curriculum programs of Physiotherapy and Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology in accordance with the aligned Allied Health Professionals Act, 2021, as recommended by the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions under the Ministry of Health & FW Government of India, New Delhi.
I extend my sincere gratitude to the our Worthy Group Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Sanjay Kumar and all Board of Studies members for their valuable contributions. I am especially thankful to Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar, Chairperson of the BOS Committee and Pro-Vice Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University; Dr. Vipin Suchik, Consultant Radiology; Dr. Vikas Mehra, Orthopaedic Surgeon ; Prof. (Dr.) Ashwini Koul, Professor, Department of Biophysics Punjab Univeristy ; Dr Satish kumar , Chief Physiotherpist GMCH 32 , Chandigarh, Dr. Dalbir Singh, Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine; Dr. Abhishek Gupta, Department of Allied Health Sciences; Dr. Maninder Singh, Director of Research, Ms Varshdeep Kour , Astt. Professor, Radiology, Mr Ankur Thakur -Asstt . Professor Physiotherapy Rayat Bahra University and all other esteemed members who participated in the meeting and approved the curriculum, which will be implemented from the July 2026 academic session in the Univeristy School of Physiotherapy & Radiology, Rayat Bahra University Mohali-Kharar Punjab. Prof. (Dr.) Lalit Gupta, Dean, USPR, for his instrumental role in successfully implementing both curricula.
