Every individual faces problems. Some of these one can get over by oneself. For others time does the job for us.
However, some issues need assistance of a professional.
Some of the problems can be handled in a few days or weeks.
Others may require counseling for a much longer period of time.
Counseling is a slow process, it cannot be rushed through.
Some old habits, attitudes, or behaviours may have to be shed and new ones acquired.
All that takes time and effort by the counselor and by you the counseled.
Do not deny yourself the benefits of counseling when you need it.

Do pay attention to yourself because you are living with and within your own body and your mind.
Nobody, other than you is interested in you.
When you have a problem or something to worry about it is your problem.
You have to realise for yourself when you need assistance through counselling.
Most of you will seek so-called counseling through friends or family.
You discuss / reveal your problems and issues with friends and family.
Remember that every time you reveal your problems with one person whom you consider to be your best friend or has your best interests at heart, that person in turn has another best friend or family member with whom he or she will share everything.
So! In one stroke you have made yourself into an object to be gossiped about to be ridiculed an object of sympathy, all by your own doing.
Those whom you consider your friends or family are nothing more than amused spectators at your whining about your misfortune and worries.
Please do Not seek counseling from your so-called friends or family.
You will make yourself look ridiculous and strange in front of them.
Seek Professional Counseling, a counselor has to follow a set of ethical standards and must respect your confidence.
Take care of your privacy.

Some plants need water and some you need to allow them to find the water for themselves. They become stronger and give better and more fruit when they grow strong on their own. Limes and grape vines come to mind.
