Democracy and freedom can be fragile and people need to elect their leaders carefully. What happened in the USA,Capitol was an assault on democracy.Mobsters instigated ,and unwilling to accept the election verdict and the toxicity of social media revealed its ugly face:riots, violence, anarchy in a country that used to take pride in its democracy. While people have a right to dissent, right to protest, they need to do it peacefully.Look at our Indian farmers protesting peacefully since more than a month,in the harsh winter of North India. They have shown how compassion ,sharing and service to others can spread warmth all around. My salute to them, and I pray and hope that they are able to secure their life and livelihood.
Hopefully out of chaos will emerge a better order.Accountability needs to be fixed, and Rule of law established.Today many Nations need healing and justice.Praying for my friends in America and hope the nation secures peace within ,which is needed more than greatness. It is time we build a better world order with transformation of economies and society focusing on inclusive growth, justice, harmony and sustainable environment.
