Yoga to boost immunity.

A weakened or compromised immune system can lead to chronic infections, inflammation, autoimmune issues, and even cancer. Luckily, you can boost immunity when you practice yoga. Yoga mats over pain killer pills

A San Diego VA study finds yoga helps chronic back pain without painkiller pills. The study included 150 San Diego veterans. The average age in the study was 53, and the average length of back pain was 15 years. After six months of twice-a-week yoga sessions, San Diego veterans reported a significant drop in back pain. Also, the number of patients in the study on opiate-based pain pills dropped from 20 percent to 8 percent. This study suggested that yoga can be the best agent to prevent chronic pains and improve physical functioning. Read more here
