A special event was held at HRID, Chennai on 7th November 2025 to celebrate 150 years of the National Song “Vande Mataram.” The programme began with a welcome by Dr. D. Karthikeyan, Officer In-Charge, followed by an address by Dr. Kolli Raju, Former Assistant Director & Consultant, highlighting the song’s historical and cultural significance.

Officers, staff, and interns joined together to sing Vande Mataram with great patriotic fervour, marking the occasion with unity and pride. A total of 24 participants — 13 staff members and 11 interns — took part in the celebration.

As part of the Vigilance Awareness Week Celebration 2025, the valedictory session was held at HRID, Chennai on 3rd November 2025.

Dr. Karthikeyan, HOD, Clinical Psychology, and Vigilance Officer, NIEPMD, Chennai, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and spoke on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”

As part of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 campaign, a sensitisation session on PIDPI (Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers) was conducted on 31.10.2025 for Camp OPD patients at Thaiyur Panchayat by Dr. Mahalakshmi, SRF(H) and Dr. Venmani Kanal, SRF(H).

Awareness posters on PIDPI were used to educate the public about the importance of reporting corruption and safeguarding whistleblowers.

On 27.10.2025, As part of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 observance, Dr. D. Karthikeyan, Officer In-Charge, HRID, Chennai, administered the Integrity Pledge to the staff, reaffirming our collective commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical governance.

On 24.10.2025, Dr. D. Britto Wilbert Dhas, Principal, and Dr. Mithun Kumar, Associate Professor, Venkateswara Homoeopathic Medical College, Porur, visited the Homoeopathy Research Institute for Disabilities (HRID), Chennai.

They were warmly welcomed by Dr. Karthikeyan, Officer In-Charge, and Dr. Kolli Raju, Former Assistant Director and Consultant, HRID, Chennai.

During the visit, Dr. Karthikeyan briefed the guests on the ongoing research activities at the institute. The Principal discussed matters regarding the posting of the next batch of interns from their college to HRID, Chennai.

The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to strengthen academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.
