Awareness Programme on POSH Act, 2013 | HRID, Chennai
An Awareness Programme on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) POSH Act, 2013 was conducted on 27.01.2026 for the employees of HRID, Chennai.
The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. D. Karthikeyan, Officer In-Charge, HRID, Chennai. Dr. Abhinaya, Advocate, Member, Child Welfare Committee, Govt. of Tamil Nadu, and Member, ICC, HRID, Chennai, was the Chief Guest and spoke on the key provisions of the POSH Act.
Members of the Sexual Harassment Committee - Smt. Chitra Bhaskaran, Lab Technician, and Smt. Sobhiya Vani, Spl. Teacher (ECSE), Dept. of Special Education, NIEPMD, Chennai, and employees of HRID, Chennai participated actively. Employee queries were addressed during the interactive session. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Smt. Chitra Bhaskaran, Member Secretary, ICC, HRID, Chennai.

🇮🇳77th Republic Day Celebration 🇮🇳

The Officers, Staff, and Interns of SSRHMC, Tambaram and VHMC, Porur, posted at the Homoeopathy Research Institute for Disabilities (HRID), Chennai, proudly celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India on 26 January 2026, along with National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD), Chennai.

The programme was observed with due solemnity, reflecting the values and ideals of the Constitution of India.

The Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, New Delhi participated in National Arogya Expo & Ayush Conclave 2026, Chennai, organized by the National Ayurveda Students and Youth Association (NASYA), Chennai, at Babuji Memorial Ashram, Manapakkam, Chennai, from 09.01.2026 to 12.01.2026.
The programme was inaugurated on 09.01.2026 by the Chief Guest, Padmashri Dr. Agus Indra Udayana, Indonesia.
From the Homoeopathic Research Institute for the Disabilities (HRID), Chennai, the following officers/officials represented CCRH during the Expo:

A stall of CCRH was set up during the Expo. Translides on various diseases in Hindi and English, highlighting CCRH research activities and study findings, were displayed. Free bilingual information handouts were distributed to visitors and the public to create awareness about homoeopathy and the research work of CCRH.
Homoeopathy OPD was also arranged for all four days of the Expo. Free consultations were provided and homoeopathic medicines were distributed free of cost, which was well received by the public.
The CCRH OPD Stall was visited by Padmashri Dr. Agus Indra Udayana, Shri Shiva Shankar Mishra, Under Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, Prof. Dr. G. Senthilvel MD (Siddha), Ph.D., Director, National Institute of Siddha (NIS), Chennai, and Dr. N. R. Jaya Kumar, President, Tamil Nadu Homoeopathic Medical Council, Chennai.
The participation of CCRH in the National Arogya AYUSH Conclave Expo, Chennai contributed to the dissemination of awareness on homoeopathy and the research activities of CCRH among the general public and stakeholders.

राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति की तीसरी तिमाही बैठक 06 जनवरी 2026 को होम्योपैथी विकलांग अनुसंधान संस्थान (एचआरआईडी), चेन्नई में आयोजित की गई थी, जिसकी अध्यक्षता डॉ. कार्तिकेयन, प्रभारी अधिकारी, एचआरआईडी, चेन्नई ने की। श्रीमती चित्रा भास्करन, सदस्य सचिव, एचआरआईडी, चेन्नई ने कार्यवाही का समन्वय किया। बैठक में डॉ. राजेश रामचंद्रन, पुनर्वास अधिकारी (एस एंड पी) और हिंदी प्रभारी, एनआईईपीएमडी, चेन्नई, और श्री अतुल कुमार गिरी, हिंदी सहायक, एनआईईपीएमडी, चेन्नई ने भाग लिया।
समिति ने एचआरआईडी में हिंदी कार्यान्वयन गतिविधियों की प्रगति की समीक्षा की, राजभाषा नीतियों के अनुपालन पर चर्चा की और आधिकारिक कार्य में हिंदी के उपयोग को और मजबूत करने के उपायों पर विचार-विमर्श किया। सदस्यों द्वारा दैनिक प्रशासनिक कामकाज में राजभाषा के प्रभावी कार्यान्वयन को बढ़ाने के लिए रचनात्मक सुझावों को साझा किया गया।
बैठक का समापन भारत सरकार के दिशानिर्देशों के अनुरूप आधिकारिक संचार में हिंदी के प्रगतिशील उपयोग को बढ़ावा देने और प्रोत्साहित करने के सामूहिक संकल्प के साथ हुआ।
The Third Quarterly Meeting of the Rajbhasha - Official language Implementation Committee was conducted at the Homoeopathy Research Institute for Disabilities (HRID), Chennai on 06th January 2026, under the chairmanship of Dr. Karthikeyan, Officer In-Charge, HRID, Chennai. Smt. Chitra Bhaskaran, Member Secretary, HRID, Chennai coordinated the proceedings. The meeting was attended by Dr. Rajesh Ramachandran, Rehabilitation Officer (S&P) and Hindi In-Charge, NIEPMD, Chennai, and Shri Atul Kumar Giri, Hindi Assistant, NIEPMD, Chennai.
The committee reviewed the progress of Hindi implementation activities at HRID, discussed compliance with Official Language policies, and deliberated on measures to further strengthen the use of Hindi in official work. Constructive suggestions were shared by the members to enhance effective implementation of Rajbhasha in day-to-day administrative functioning.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to promote and encourage the progressive use of Hindi in official communications in line with Government of India guidelines.

A Nationwide celebration of Veer Bal Diwas is being organized on 26.12.2025, to honour the exemplary courage, resilience, and potential of children, who form the foundation of India's future. The supreme sacrifice of young souls whose conviction and bravery continue to inspire future generations.

As part of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Centenary Celebrations and Atal AYUSH Mahotsav, HRID Chennai organized a week-long poster exhibition from 16th to 23rd December at the HRID Dispensary, showcasing AYUSH systems and traditional healing practices. The posters were presented by interns posted at HRID Chennai, with 103 participants, for the benefit of patients and visitors.
The programme concluded with a valedictory function on 23rd December, during which Dr. Karthikeyan, Officer-in-Charge, distributed certificates to the winners of the essay and quiz competitions conducted earlier. The event was graced by all the staff members of HRID Chennai, making it a meaningful and memorable celebration.

On 19.12.2025, As part of the Centenary Celebration of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji, a Walkathon was successfully organized by Homoeopathy Research Institute for Disabilities (HRID), Chennai, around the NIEPMD Campus and Muttukadu.

The walkathon witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Officers and Staff of HRID, Chennai, along with Interns of SSRHMC, Tambaram and VHMC, Porur, posted at HRID, Chennai. Around 24 participants actively took part in the event.

The program aimed to promote health awareness, physical fitness, and the values of unity and discipline, reflecting the inspiring vision and ideals of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji. The event was conducted in a spirited atmosphere, fostering teamwork and collective responsibility towards a healthy lifestyle.

The Walkathon concluded with a renewed sense of motivation and commitment to carry forward the legacy and vision of Shri Atal Ji.

On the occasion of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Centenary Celebration, on 18.12.2025, a medical health camp including height and weight screening was organized at Semmenchery Anganwadi by HRID.
Dr. Venmani Kanal (H) and Dr. Mahalakshmi SRF (H) conducted activities for children’s welfare.
A total of 12 children actively participated in the health check-up.
Ms. Jeevalakshmi (Pharmacist) and Ms. Joanna (MTS) supported the program, highlighting health, care, and nation-building values.
