Fear of Failure After NEET Attempts | How to Rebuild Confidence & Focus Again

What happens when a student gives 3 years to NEET… and still doesn’t clear it?

In this episode of the Mind Cafe Psychological Talk Show, a young student shares her silent struggle after multiple NEET attempts and the emotional impact of shifting to B.Sc Psychology.

Her real battle was not the exam.
It was the fear of the future and the loss of self-confidence caused by repeated failure.

As a psychologist, I helped her uncover the deeper core issue:
✔️ How past academic failure creates identity wounds
✔️ Why fear blocks concentration in present studies
✔️ How the brain stores emotional defeat as “proof” of incompetence
✔️ Why confidence drops even after changing direction

Many students don’t fail because they are incapable.
They fail to move forward because their emotions remain unprocessed.

By the end of the session, we identified the root cause behind her fear and guided her through a healing exercise to release stuck emotions — helping her shift from regret and anxiety into clarity and focus.

If you are:
• A NEET aspirant struggling after failure
• A student dealing with fear of the future
• Someone who changed career paths and feels lost
• A parent worried about your child’s confidence

This episode will help you understand the psychology behind academic fear and emotional recovery.

At Mind Cafe, we believe counselling is not for the weak — it is for the self-aware.

🎯 Watch till the end to understand how emotional healing restores confidence.

What if I told you…
Taking the phone away can actually make addiction worse?

This week at Mind Cafe Psychological Talk Show, a mother came with one painful question:

“How do I stop my son’s mobile addiction?”

But here’s what most parents don’t realize:

📱 Mobile addiction is not about the phone.
🧠 It’s about dopamine, escape, unmet emotional needs, and power struggles.

When parents try to control harder…
Children resist harder.

So instead of teaching her how to “control” her son —
I helped her understand the psychology behind addiction.

We decoded:
• Why constant scolding increases screen dependency
• How punishment damages connection
• What emotional need the phone is silently fulfilling

And then — I did something practical.

🎭 I role-played a real conversation using the “No Lose Method.”

This parenting skill:
✔ Ends win-lose arguments
✔ Builds cooperation instead of rebellion
✔ Sets boundaries without breaking trust
✔ Gives parents confidence in real-time conversations

By the end of the session, she didn’t just have advice.
She had clarity. A strategy. And confidence.

Because parenting is not about overpowering your child.
It’s about understanding their mind.

If you are a parent struggling with:
– Mobile addiction
– Screen time battles
– Teenage resistance
– Daily conflicts

This episode is for you.

Let’s stop fighting our children.
Let’s start understanding them.

Comment “PARENT” and I’ll send you the link to watch the full episode.

These Are the 4 Surprising Habits Parents Practiced to Raise Bright Children | Signs to Watch For 🧠✨

What if raising brilliant children isn’t about flashcards, tutors, or strict schedules?
Discover 4 unconventional habits that parents of exceptionally bright kids use instinctively — and how to spot the signs they’re working in your family.

•The first interesting thing they found was that the parent did not give extensive advice or information, but asked the child simple self-reflective questions. Eg: What would you do in this situation? What are your thoughts about this?

•Secondly, they did not rush to protect their child from every mistake; instead observed them as they misjudged and fixed it.

•Thirdly , the parents were transparent to say loudly about how they feel using I messages. Eg , “I am so irritated because I feel tired “

•Fourthly, the homes of brilliant children were not organised well. There was space for child to breathe freedom without minute-to-minute instructions or Snoopervising. This helped the child to be more creative.

Now it’s your turn to decide where you need to pause and support your child to raise a brilliant child .

Type, “ MIND “, and I will share the link to book a session and learn to apply the parenting skills.
