Weekly Impact Update | Week #03 (January 19–25, 2026)

Kalpavriksham Trust continues its mission of Solving the Cancer Crisis through consistent community outreach and preventive healthcare initiatives.

During Week #03, we successfully conducted 7 events, reaching a total of 210 beneficiaries across Thiruvallur and Chennai. The programs included cancer awareness talks under the Shakthi Project and an HPV vaccination drive through Project Nila, focusing on early detection, prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.

Through these initiatives, we aim to empower communities with knowledge and encourage proactive steps toward cancer prevention.

The expert medical team shared valuable insights on Femicare screening camps, early cancer detection, common signs and symptoms, the importance of mammogram and Pap smear screenings, HPV vaccination, and healthy lifestyle practices to reduce cancer risk.

• 2,590 women screened
• 1,515 free mammograms conducted
• 1,616 free Pap smears conducted
• 28 new cancer cases detected early

Through this preventive initiative, 7 children received the HPV vaccine, taking an important step toward protecting them from cervical cancer.

From 12th to 18th January 2026 (Week #02), Kalpavriksham Trust successfully conducted 2 Cancer Awareness Talks under the Shakthi project at Nathamedu Village and Nathamedu Panchayat Office, Thiruvallur.

Through these sessions, 42 beneficiaries were empowered with vital knowledge on cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of regular screening.

Every awareness session brings us one step closer to a cancer-free community.
