Event: ANEW – A community impact initiative

Event Date: 14th July 2017

As part of Employee Engagement Council (Community Impact) initiative, nursing women students from ANEW (non-government association) were invited to ABCO India premises on 14th July 2017.

A series of activities were planned for the guest to engage them and make their visit memorable.
The show started with an ice-breaking session followed by a focused session on ABCO’s products. We also had two women students from ANEW who shared their inspiring life stories and how ANEW helped them overcome their financial hurdles. We conducted games for the guest to add fun element during their visit and it was a happy moment for the women students and ABCOites to cherish. The event became all the more special with a birthday celebration for one of the students. The show came to an end with a return gift to the women students followed by a thank you note by Anna Andrews.
It was a pleasure to organize a fun filled and valuable event for women who strive to enhance their socio-economic status through ANEW.

The feedback from ANEW management committee was appreciative and it motivates us to join hands for more such events.

- Thanks to all ABCOites who availed the benefit of Dental camp!!!

As a part of ABCO India wellness initiative, doctor was invited from "Dentistree dental hospitals" to provide a free consultation on oral hygiene to ABCO India employees. 51 employees got consultation from doctor. All these employees were given discounts on fees for follow up consultation and dental procedures in Dentistree dental hospitals.

ABCO cares for employees wellness!!

A wide range of wellness initiatives are being organized globally. As a part of the Chennai wellness initiative Blood donation camp was organized.
There were around 50 employees who had willingly participated in the blood donation camp.

Upcoming Event at ABCO India Private Limited

ANEW - A community impact initiative:

We have invited 35 nursing students from ANEW - 'Association for Non-traditional Employment for Women' - a non-government, non-profit charitable association working for economically disadvantaged women to our premises, on Friday, July 14th 2017 @ Townhall.

We welcome you all to be part of this celebration to make them feel special by listening to their experience and achievements.

Campus hiring has started for 2018!!!

We visited Coimbatore Institute of Technology on 20th June. Out of 270 aspirant students who were interviewed, 3 students were identified as potential Associate software engineers for full-time employment & internship.

The next campus was held on 28th June to Government College of Technology. One student was offered a full-time employment & internship, out of 170 students who appeared for the interview.

As part of our branding activity, T-shirts, Key chains, umbrellas, and water bottles were given away to students.

Excited to bring in more young talents to ABCO family!!

Celebrating the Women at ABCO India

ABCO India’s ‘Women in Technology’ group, in an effort to celebrate and honor its working women force, celebrated the International Women’s day on March 8th 2017. Emails were sent out to women employees about the event followed by lunch at The Hilton.

On the day of event, every woman employee was greeted with a Flower and a chocolate. Later in the afternoon, ABCO’s women folks, gathered in the Ballroom space of The Hilton.

At Hilton, Anna Andrews, the Senior Director- HR, addressed the gathering with her ‘International Women’s Day’ wishes. She also spoke the important role a woman plays both at home and in workplace and thanked everyone for their continued efforts and support.

Followed by that, the emcee took over for the rest of the celebration. They had planned couple of activities for the women and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. The winners of the program were given gift vouchers.

The pinnacle of the event was the ‘Instant photo booth’ that was setup with the backdrop mentioning ‘Women of the World (WOW)’. All the participants gathered in groups and in single to have their pictures taken and printed instantly.

The day came to a close with a lunch buffet at the Vasco’s restaurant of The Hilton. The women employees enjoyed the event and it was indeed a memorable moment to cherish for ABCO.

What is the value of your word?

In an initiative to create awareness on ABCO’s core values such as - Force of Insight, Power of Language, Run to Criticism and Spirit of Generosity, ‘The Value Program’ pillar of ABCO’s Employee Engagement Council came up with a game - “What is the value of your word?”.

An email communication was sent out to all employees inviting their participation on 1st and 2nd March 2017. On the day of event, the digital display in cafeteria projected certain words that closely matched our core values. Participants were asked to write words that closely matched and put in a drop box .

The event had 70+ employees participating and challenged themselves on their knowledge on ABCO’s core values. From the entries received, 3 participants- Anuj Mahawar (1st prize), Sugandha Tulsyan (2nd prize) and Novel Jindal (3rd prize), won prizes as they identified maximum number of words that closely matched our Core Values. Prizes were given out during the next subsequent Town hall.
