We are honoured to partner with the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Mauritius through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding, in the presence of Hon’ble Minister of Health and Wellness Mr. Anil Kumar Bachoo, and Hon’ble Junior Minister Ms. Anishta Babooram. This MoU aims to strengthen access to advanced and specialised healthcare services for the people of Mauritius.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Parmanand Mawah, Acting Senior Chief Executive, Ministry of Health and Wellness, and Mr. Paul Robin, CEO, SIMS Hospitals.
This collaboration focuses on key specialties including neuro-interventions, transplantation, bone marrow transplants, paediatric surgeries, and cardiac electrophysiology. As part of this partnership, SIMS clinical teams will support complex procedures in Mauritius, contribute to capacity building, and offer continuous medical education and training for medical and paramedical professionals.
Our commitment goes beyond treatment. We aim to support long-term healthcare development by assisting in the establishment of speciality units such as an Autonomous Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and by supporting digital health initiatives in the country. The partnership will also help facilitate patient logistics including airport transfers and accommodation during extended treatments in India.
We are grateful for the trust placed in us and remain committed to delivering compassionate, high-end medical care while supporting national efforts to build sustainable healthcare excellence for the people of Mauritius.
Together, we look forward to making quality healthcare more accessible, reachable, and future-ready.
