On the occasion of World Bipolar Day, the Department of Psychiatry, Ananta Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre organized an Intercollegiate Postgraduate Quiz Competition on 30th March 2026 at Charak Auditorium, Ananta Hospital.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from postgraduate students representing six medical colleges from Udaipur, accompanied by their respective faculty members. The quiz aimed to promote academic excellence and enhance awareness regarding bipolar disorder and other psychiatric conditions. Participants displayed remarkable knowledge, zeal, and competitive spirit throughout the event.
The program was graced by the esteemed presence of Respected Principal Dr. Sanjay Gupta and PG Dean Dr. S.K. Singhal.
Results of the Competition:

• 🥉 3rd Position: Team Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS)
The audience was actively engaged, with participation from faculty members of various departments, as well as nursing students and their faculty, adding to the academic vibrancy of the event. The program concluded with insightful closing remarks, Dr. Sanjay Gupta (Principal) appreciated the initiative and encouraged continued academic activities, while Dr. S.K. Singhal (PG Dean) highlighted the importance of addressing stigma associated with psychiatric disorders, and Dr. Bharat Agarwal (Head of Department, Psychiatry) emphasized the clinical significance of bipolar disorder, stressing that not all depression is unipolar and underscoring the need for accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
The event concluded with prize distribution, certificate presentation, and felicitation of faculty members from participating institutions.
