WOLD SU***DE PREVENTION DAY 2020 by~~ WCTC

Su***de prevention remains a universal challenge. Every
year, su***de is among the top 20 leading causes of death globally for people of all ages. It is responsible for over 800,000
deaths, which equates to one su***de every 40 seconds.
Every life lost represents someone’s partner, child, parent, friend or colleague. For each su***de approximately 135 people suffer intense grief or are otherwise affected. This amounts to 108 million people per year who are profoundly impacted by suicidal behaviour. Suicidal behaviour includes
su***de, and also encompases suicidal ideation and su***de
attempts. For every su***de, 25 people make a su***de attempt and many more have serious thoughts of su***de. Su***de is the result of a convergence of genetic,
psychological, social and cultural and other risk factors, sometimes combined with experiences of trauma and loss.
People who take their own lives represent a heterogeneous
group, with unique, complex and multifaceted causal influences preceding their final act. Such heterogeneity
presents challenges for su***de prevention experts.
These challenges can be overcome by adopting a
multilevel and cohesive approach to su***de prevention. Preventing su***de is often possible and you are a key player in its prevention! You can make a difference - as a member of society, as a child, as a parent, as a friend, as a colleague or as a neighbour. There are many things that you can do daily, and also on World Su***de Prevention Day (WSPD), to prevent suicidal behaviour. You can raise awareness about the issue, educate yourself and others about the causes of su***de and warning signs for su***de, show compassion and
care for those who are in distress in your community, question the stigma associated with su***de, suicidal behaviour and mental health problems and share your own experiences.

Dear All,

Whenever you find a Person Infected with Covid 19 in your neighbourhood or near your workplace, being taken to Quarantine/Isolation Centre in an Ambulance, Pls do not take Video or Pictures, infact discourage the person who you find is making a video or taking photos.

Don’t embarrass the person!

Instead stand in your Balcony or at your Window or your Gate a few feet away and give him/her a thumbs up, wish him/her good luck and a Speedy Recovery.

Because the way the virus is spreading, soon you will find an Ambulance, infront of everybody’s gate / door.

Please understand how this person must be going through.

Please
1. Respect him/her
2. Pray for him/her
3. Make him/her feel you are a good human being
4. Do not spread panic and “fear or insult” among others.

The person is just unwell, not a criminal. He will get cured but the memory of how people treated him, will stay with him forever !!

We are all in this fight together !!
Let's spread love and build confidence !

Be Safe, Stay at Home..... 💌🙏😊

CORONA IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO EVERYONE, REMEMBER THIS:

In the US a prisoner was sentenced to death, some scientists thought that they should do an experiment on this prisoner. The prisoner was told that he will be killed by the bite of a poisonous cobra instead of hanging.

*A cobra was brought in front of him, they closed the prisoner's eyes and tied him to a chair. He was pricked with two safety pins simultaneously, the prisoner died within two seconds. _(The cobra was only brought before him - it did not touch him)_*

*Postmortem revealed that the prisoner's body contained venom resembling snake venom.*

*_Now where did this poison come from, or what caused the death of the prisoner ?_*

*THE POISON WAS PRODUCED BY HIS OWN BODY DUE TO HIS MENTAL TRAUMA !*

*Every decision you make produces positive or negative energy and accordingly your body produces hormones.*

*_The root cause of 90% of illnesses is the energy generated by negative thoughts._*

*Today man is burning himself with his wrong thoughts his unforgiving nature and destroying himself*

*Don't go over Corona statistics because more than 90% of the people are well, and the deaths occured are not just due to the Corona disease, they had other illnesses, hence could not cope.*

*Remember that YET no one has died at HOME due to Corona. All patients dead were ONLY in the hospitals.*

*_Reason being the atmosphere in the hospital and the fear in the mind._*

*Remember ALL those even infected by Corona who entered the hospital with a POSITIVE ATTITUDE have come out CURED.*

🙏ALWAYS KEEP YOUR THOUGHTS POSITIVE.
🙏🙏🙏

Brief Step by step process you can follow while practising Expressive Writing . This therapy is a self- help, one of the easiest and convenient to perform psychotherapy which gives you insight about your trauma/incident/ event and helps you to re-reflect , draw out new way to approach the memories of the trauma, helps you to come up with fresh Problem Solving Approach, build and strengthen your defense mechanism towards the painful memories.
------------------------------------------------------------------
🔵Choose a quiet and a distraction free environment

🔵Note that you are writing for yourself. Do not care about the spellings, grammars. Write for yourself to yourself.

🔵Write down your past trauma just as it was ( P:S without adding any attributions, emotions involved in the event/ trauma , no explanation of why it happened, no explanation of what happened after the trauma/the incident/ the event) .

🔵Check for any details you might have missed. For an example, a person involved in the incident , the place , the timing, the year, etc.

🔵Now re-write the whole story . This time re-write by incorporating what all were missed out. Also, include what happened before the incident, what happened after the incident.

🔵Now Add your emotions, add your thoughts, add all the painful feelings towards and around the trauma. Add 'what you could have done'. Connect what happens before the incident and what happened after the incident.

🔵Embrace your emotions. Allow yourself to re-visit the painful events and the emotions that came along.

🔵 Identify the emotions that make you weak and identify what triggers that type of emotions to well up. Write them down.

🔵Now, write down what you want to do about the painful emotions; how you want to tackle them , what should be your approach towards them, find the solution.

🔵 Encourage yourself to follow through the solution you identified. Follow them with actions.

🔵 Assertiveness is not agression. The ability to say "No" does not make you an agressive person.

🔵 Assertiveness is voicing the fact about your opinions, feelings, thoughts, needs openly and honestly. No beating around the bush, no mix signals.

🔵It helps you to draw boundaries. Thus helps you to avoid unnecessary precipating factors of stress.

🔵It builds your confidence.

🔵It is an effective means of communication because the message you want to convey is clearly put forward.

🔵Don't feel guilty about being assertive.

🔵You can still be polite while being assertive.

How to learn better Or How to Improve your Retention Memory
________________________________
🔵No multitasking

🔵Practise Speed reading

🔵Use Human Associative Memory ( This means forming associations between the one thing you want to learn with another thing you already knew or forming associations between two distinctivllely different things). For example, to learn a new theory, You can form a mental association between the Theory with your pre-existing ideas or your thoughts about the Theory. Or for simpler tasks like memorising a new Vocabulary (For example, if the word starts with The letter 'Z', you can form an association between the word and another word or phrase which helps to recall, like maybe 'Zebra', etc. This, in another way is more or less the same with Adding your own meaning to the New task to learn, aka Encoding in Psychological terms and the learning technique used here is 'Meaningful Learning'. The more you encode and the more you rehearse the encoded information, the longer it will be stored in the Long Term Memory.

🔵Have enough sleep

🔵 Take study naps ( 30 minutes nap improves alertness, 15 minutes nap improves motor performance (For people in sports), 10 minutes nap improves memory retrieval or recall). Researchers also proved that the information you learnt just before you took a nap or even a night's sleep is more easily recalled after you wake up or the next morning

🔵Form Pictorial Associations (This works the same way as Human Associative Memory works)

🔵Revise Alot

🔵 Stay physically active and Hydrated
