Thirumoolar Vethasatthi Academy, Coimbatore, is pleased to share that Prof. Dr N Shunmugom , PhD - Tamil, Founder and Chief Vethasatthi Expert, has been invited as a speaker at the National Conference on Integrative Oncology – Samaakalan 2.0 on the theme “Integrative Approaches and Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine (TCIM) in Comprehensive Cancer Care”, to be held from 11–13 February 2026 at ACTREC – Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), Navi Mumbai.
Samaakalan 2.0 is being organized by the AYUSH Centre of Excellence (CoE) at the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) – TMC, in collaboration with the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) – Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Mumbai, and supported by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India.
Building on the success of the 2024 Samaakalan Workshop and Conference, this edition aims to further the structured, evidence-based integration of AYUSH systems with modern oncology. The Conference will bring together eminent experts from diverse AYUSH disciplines to discuss the incorporation of pharmacological and non-pharmacological AYUSH interventions into contemporary cancer care, with participation limited to 100 selected delegates.
During the Conference, Prof. Dr. N. Shunmugom will deliver a lecture titled “Vethasatthi Marma Chikitsa: Pain Management and Vitality Restoration in Oncology Patients”, highlighting the clinical applications of Vethasatthi Maruthuvam in integrative oncology. His session will focus on the role of marma (vaRmam)–based interventions in cancer pain relief and in enhancing vitality and quality of life among oncology patients.
