The first 100 days of postpartum? A wild, confusing, milk-soaked ride.
Let’s be honest - nothing you read, watched, or planned for prepares you for a baby who screams like a fire alarm… and a house full of paati-level experts giving you the look. You know, the “Are you even doing it right?” look 👀
Oh and the advice? “I raised my child like this...”
Ma’am, your child is now 27 and can’t even make a dosa without help. Please rest.
Meanwhile, your adorable lil cupcake turns into a milk-hungry monster
Feeding frenzy? Check.
No time to p*e? Double check.
Burping, pooping, diaper duty on loop? Triple check.
Your wins? “Input-output is fine” but also… “Did I even bathe today?” 🫠
And then you look at their tiny face… no thank you, no smile, just meh. Like an ungrateful boss baby who hired you without warning.
BUT. (Yes, there’s a big but.)
One day, something shifts.
Feedings get shorter.
Poops get less dramatic.
And then… you hear it - a little coo, a gummy smile, maybe even a snort-laugh.
The first 100 days? Total chaos.
But also? The birthplace of you as a mother.
Messy. Magical. Unforgettable.
