Humble Beginning
The school had a humble beginning in the year 2006 as a NGO with three children and blossomed over the years as the premier school in this region. The institution which started out with a single therapist and a helper now has more than hundred children with forty five staff members from different disciplines under its wing. The School has now extended its service to Tirupur which was started in July 2010, at present catering to 35 students with the services mentioned below. The specialist team comprises occupational therapists, special educators, speech therapists, Naturopathy and Ayurveda doctors, Physical trainers, Training on Movements and related professionals. Kaumaram Prashanthi Academy has understood that each child is unique and individual and strives to help them reach their potential. The onus is on developing their physical, mental and psychological faculty and hones their raw skills into a powerful medium to channelize their latent talent which helps them join the mainstream of society. Located in the centre of Saravanampatti, Coimbatore, is just 12 kms from Gandhipuram bus stand and comprises over 60 cents of land. Kaumaram Prashanthi Academy is set in a peaceful and divine environment with infrastructure that is unique. A 10000sq feet building is under construction. Plans are to move to a new campus by July / August 2013
