Ankur Objective of Ankur is to facilitate people towards uncovering their infinite potential by understanding their body, mind and emotions.

We offer experiential workshops addressing Body-Mind-Emotions. Any action we do is a combination of Body and Mind using the energies!! Through Ankur destination is the same - to understand self by removing the layers. Certain paths resonate depending on one's nature and environment. Tools we use include Indian philosophies, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt Therapy, NLP, and Creative Art Therapy methods. Body is addressed through
1) Yoga & Yoga Nidra practices
2) Lasya - is a Dance Therapy workshop to release your emotions, through your body

Mind is addressed through
a) Mind Literacy - Path To Personal Power
b) Expressing Yourself (An insight into communication)

Emotions are addressed through
a) Emotional Literacy - Path To Personal Power
b) Inner voice - Seat of your Inner Child
c) Freedom From Stress

Body, Mind & Emotions are not separate from each other and we offer Self Literacy programs which is a blend of all the paths. Take your pick from the list and ultimately all areas will be addressed :-)

ALIGNMENT - CONNECTING TO SELF - is a workshop which gives a path towards what lies beyond Body-Mind-Emotions!! And apart from all this we do Organizational Development work using a holistic approach and this initiative is called Samiksha - Developing Insightful Organizations

People CREATE precisely what they try hardest to avoid. People who are afraid of being treated unfairly will unintentionally treat others unfairly - in an attempt to ensure that no one is taking advantage of them.

In order to forgive we must first consider that we have been blaming ourselves or someone for something. We must have anger, resentment or even hatred in order to feel the need to forgive.

Forgiveness is Unlocking the door to Set Some One FREE and Realizing, YOU were the 'Prisoner' :))))

In using forgiveness we are choosing to let go of negative emotions that are holding us back from enjoying the life we are meant to have. It does not mean we are letting someone of the hook for what they did nor does it imply that we maintain relationships with the people that hurt us. If what the person did is toxic, safe boundaries need to be put in place to ensure that the action is not repeated but this does not mean one cannot forgive. Forgiveness is really saying that we take back our power and no longer allow the past including what someone did to us to affect our thinking, choices or behavior.

When we refuse to forgive we are actively choosing to hang on to all the old pain, negative emotions and resentment for what has happened. Our bodies remember every single moment of our lives and the information whether we remember it or not, is stored on a cellular level and effects our way of interacting with the world around us.

By refusing to forgive all of the emotions we feel do not leave our body but remain trapped inside and begin challenging our physical, mental and emotional health.

FORGIVE what one cannot Forget and FORGET what One cannot Forgive.

*Parable of an Empty Boat⛵*

A monk decides to meditate alone, away from his monastery. He takes his boat out to the middle of the lake, moors it there, closes his eyes and begins his meditation. After a few hours of undisturbed silence, he suddenly feels the bump of another boat colliding with his own. With his eyes still closed, he senses his anger rising, and by the time he opens his eyes, he is ready to scream at the boatman who dared disturb his meditation. But when he opens his eyes, he sees it’s an empty boat that had probably got untethered and floated to the middle of the lake. At that moment, the monk understands that the anger is within him; it merely needs the bump of an external object to provoke it out of him.

From then on, whenever he comes across someone who irritates him or provokes him to anger, he reminds himself, *“The other person is merely an empty boat. The anger is within me.”*

Drawing to understand: Art therapy Guidance tip: 1
Intuitive Drawing:

Intuitive drawing is an immediate way to tap into the mystery of your life below the everyday happenings. It is helpful to take time to quiet your mind and go into your body before you draw. Allow your pen to move without giving it much thought. Ask questions. Listen for messages. They are always surprising and just below your conscious thought.

I was surprised to see the last post on this page was on 22nd May!!! First thing mind spoke was - Oh that's such a long gap!! But then, there was no urge or flow to post on this page till today. Is that complacency or was I being readied for something? I would never know and I need not know it.
There is a flow now and go with it. Be as free as the bird!! We say - free as the bird. Who knows whether the bird feels free or not? All I can say is, when I am with the flow then I feel free, happy and aligned with my purpose in life. What happens to you when you are in a flow?

Fear of what other people will think/tell about us exists covertly and overtly till you integrate experientially that in reality actually it does not matter.

Yday I had been to the move 36 Vayadhinilae! The movie ended with the line - Your dream is your signature!

We women do easily settle inside a comfort zone isn't it? It becomes so comfortable that even the thought of stepping out of does not occur. As a Facilitator I have come across many reasons, from participants and women in particular, for not taking time to attend program or do things for themselves. We women are masters in finding reasons! :D

One reason that was shared with me few years back and which has stayed with me - I have to cut fruits for the family in the evening at 4.00! This was for a one day program and not a month long one!! Let's also be aware of the places where we are doing tasks that can be done by the people involved!

Family is definitely an integral part of a woman. Along with the family why not something for ourselves too. Yes, for some, family itself is that space and path which is absolutely fine. If there is a constant resentment, hunger and loneliness eating you then questions begin!

Ma I love you and please, now I am a Ma too
Others are least priority when it comes to my children and others opinion matter too
Talking with others about my children is like my breath and beware if someone gives opinions about how my children should behave
Happiness is something I experience when I feel complete with my children and when I can get a few minutes of alone time
Energy, I have a lot when my children ask me to do something special for them and it is something I resist when they are demanding
Relationship with my children is my forte and my rebellion too

Life is simple! Live the moment, feel your breath, smile! Everything is as it is!
