It’s incredible to see the clinic being used by the Govt’s Primary Health Care as a point of contact outreach centre for the residents of Zuarinagar. All government healthcare programs now find their way into the community through this space.

Prafu conducting free medical checkup and consultation at the community. Seena, our nurse and community mobiliser has joined and she had organised this. Since the community clinic has not started yet due to no permissions, we are conducting medical camps where medicines given by Challenger students are being given out to patients.

Clinic update

The work is moving at a snail's pace. We have not received the NOC yet although Sister Phileshin has been continuously following up.

We cannot give medicines to the patients unless the NOC comes in but other health related work can start. So, we have gone ahead and hired a nurse who will join on 16th May.

She will do door to door visits, follow up on the NOC and work along with Dr Sucoro's staff. He has kindly agreed to train her in the government public health programs.

Thank you Challenger group 2015 for providing funds for the nurse's salary for a year.
