🧠👧🏽 Tinea Capitis in Children – What Parents Should Know! 👦🏼🦠

Tinea capitis, or scalp ringworm, is a common fungal infection in kids aged 3–10. It can cause:

🔹 Scaly, itchy patches
🔹 Hair loss (bald spots)
🔹 Swollen lymph nodes
🔹 “Black dots” where hair broke off
🔹 Sometimes, a painful, inflamed lump (kerion)

👩‍⚕️ Contagious & easily spread in schools, daycares, or through shared combs, hats, or pillows.
