Swasthgram introduced preventive care for all at very affordable cost. The main question for Non Communicable Disease's prevention is not “What should be done?” but “How should it be done?” The key question is, “How can the existing knowledge should be best applied for effective prevention in real life?” The solution for the prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases is "SWASTHGRAM."

So we asked a simple question:

What if the laboratory came to the village instead?

That idea became reality at Swasthgram.

Today, our mobile diagnostic bike carries a compact laboratory that performs advanced tests right inside rural communities.

No long travel.
No waiting days for reports.
No transporting fragile blood samples.

From LFT and KFT to ECG and cervical cancer screening, villagers receive quality diagnostics within minutes of giving a small blood sample.

One bike.
One technician.
One portable lab.

But the impact?

Hundreds of villagers getting early diagnosis and timely medical advice.

"Three different places.
Three ordinary moments.
One shared purpose — bringing healthcare closer to people.

In many communities, routine health checks are still rare. People often continue their daily work without knowing their blood pressure or sugar levels. Not because they don’t care about their health, but because access to basic screening is limited.

This week, the Swasthgram Foundation / Swasthadoot teams conducted preventive health screenings across Kharsia in Chhattisgarh, Kunarpur in West Bengal, and Sribatsapur in Odisha. Community members came forward for blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, and basic health assessments, conducted right where people live and work.

In Kunarpur, a woman calmly sat for her blood pressure check while others around her observed quietly, curious about the process. A simple moment—but one that sparked conversations about health and awareness.

Preventive healthcare works best when it becomes part of everyday life.

Under the shade of a tree in Cooch Behar, West Bengal,
A small health camp quietly came to life.

Women from the village gathered one by one, sitting on a wooden platform as the Swasthgram / Swasthadoot health worker checked their blood pressure and blood sugar levels. For many of them, this was not just a routine check — it was their first health screening in a long time.

One mother waited patiently while her test was done, while her little child stood nearby watching every step with curiosity. For the child, it was just another moment beside their mother. But for the community, it was a small step toward better health awareness.

No hospital walls.
No long queues.
Just healthcare reaching people where they live.

Because preventive healthcare begins when care becomes accessible to everyone.

A man walked into our health camp in Palanpur, Gujarat and quietly rolled up his sleeve.

He wasn’t sick.
He just wanted to understand what the numbers inside his body were saying.

At Tirupati Shopping Centre, the Swasthgram Foundation / Swasthadoot team conducted a community health screening covering 31 preventive health parameters — from BMI and body composition to blood pressure, oxygen levels, lipid profile, blood sugar, hemoglobin, kidney and liver function.

People came with curiosity, questions, and hope.

Some were checking their health markers for the first time in years.

Because preventive healthcare doesn’t start in hospitals.

It starts when healthcare reaches people where they live.

Look at that waiting room.
Nobody asked them to come.
Nobody offered them money.
Nobody made it mandatory.
They came because they wanted to know if they were okay.
That’s the moment we live for.

In Tarkeshwar, West Bengal, our Swasthadoots set up a health checkup camp — and the room filled up on its own. Men, women, elders. Waiting patiently for a blood sugar test, a BP check, a hemoglobin reading.
Things that take 5 minutes.
Things that can change — or save — a life.

One woman had never had her blood pressure checked before. She was 45.
When people show up like this, it tells you something: they want healthcare. They just never had access to it.

This is what demand looks like when you meet people where they are.

Most of them had never had a blood test in their life.
Not once.
In Harda, Madhya Pradesh — like in hundreds of small towns across India — preventive health screening simply doesn’t exist. You wait until you’re sick. By then, it’s often too late.
We decided not to wait.

Our Swasthadoots set up a health desk right in the community. No hospital. No appointments. No fees. Just trained health workers, proper equipment, and people finally getting answers about their own bodies.

Hemoglobin. Blood glucose. Blood pressure. BMI.
One by one, residents walked up — some curious, some nervous — and walked away knowing something they had never known before: their own health status.

Early detection isn’t a luxury. It’s the difference between treatment and tragedy.
This is what Swasthgram does. Not charity. Ground-level healthcare infrastructure, built one village at a time.

She hadn’t seen a doctor in 3 years.
Not because she didn’t want to.
Because the nearest clinic was 12 km away. No transport. No time. No one to take her.

This is the reality for millions in rural West Bengal.
So we brought the clinic to her door.
Our Swathadoots, our trained health workers are now visiting homes in plashipoda, conducting BP, blood sugar, CBC, KFT, and LFT screenings. Right in people’s living rooms. Right where they feel safe.

In one home, an elderly woman got her first blood pressure check in years.
In another, a man’s blood sugar was flagged early enough to act.
This is what last-mile healthcare looks like in practice.

Not a scheme. Not a camp. A systematic, door-to-door diagnostic program built to catch what clinics miss because people never make it to clinics.

Swasthgram is a 7 year old registered trust established in year 2011 with a dream of Healthy World & Better Living. We are 80G, 12A & FCRA certified non-profit organization.

Swasthgram plays a vital role in the shaping and implementation of reducing the incidence of NCDs by providing Preventive Healthcare solutions.

To achieve the mission of making preventive health care possible for everyone the Swasthgram launched 3 major programs: Swasthmanthan, Shudhvayu & Saksham.

Shudhvayu-

For Clean Air Delhi Mission , We are installing an innovative Shudhvayu filter on the roof of car free of cost. It absorbs 4 gram PM10 particles in the run of 100km area at 250 Air Quality Index. It means 1 car is cleaning area of 10000m.

Installing this Shudhvayu Air Filter on all moving vehicles on road in Delhi (approx 50 lakhs), 20 tons of air pollutants will be cleaned in a single day which makes air of Delhi as healthy as equivalent to any other developed international city.

Swasthmanthan-

Swasthmanthan program is focused to provide Preventive Healthcare Solutions which undertakes the following works:

- Awareness raising and civic participation.

- Develop umbrella organizations and/or new networks on Preventive Healthcare Solutions.

- Mobilizing local involvement to protect people from NCDs.

Saksham-

Transforming Rural Health Ecosystem::

-Swasthgram has been building a cadre of SwasthRakshak(s), who are building inroads to make healthcare accessible to all.

-Drawn from the pool of undeserved population, the skill development program empowers and prepares deprived youth towards gainful employment in health sector with equal opportunity

-Swasthrakshaks are skilled laboratory technicians adept at performing routine lab procedures; Phlebotomy, blood biochemistry, serology, hematology and techniques
