Yoga Adventures Yoga adventures My name is Vikram Singh Rajavat and I am the organiser and facilitator of Yoga Adventures.

Yoga Adventures is an attempt to enjoy the great Indian outdoors and experience peace of mind even as one learns the zen of Fly Fishing and Yoga. Teaching yoga for me is both a practice and a discipline. The experience of the external world is as important to yoga as is the silent meditation and experience of the void. It is the middle ground that allows us to engage into the activities that make life – from fishing to music to the silence in the mountains. Born and raised in the tea gardens of Upper Assam, being close to nature is second nature. I have studied yoga in Uttarkashi and I fish Himalayan rivers for big Mahseer in my free time. So we didnt get any fish this time ... instead we got to use the fly rod and keep the line moving and getting to where we want it ... and the climbs to the streams, the glacier waters, the smell of the forests and the air ... so its not about the catching as much as the time spent on the streams ... and most of all its about being out there where the mind can still and the breath is a bit easy ... fishing is more about keeping your line in the water and relaxing ... the fish will take it when they are ready. The pictures tell the story ... the forests were divine and we were blessed to have the devi make a 4 yearly visit to the village. Next time we get the fish. Now we know where and when ...
