What is a Meningioma? 🧠
A meningioma is a slow-growing tumour that forms in the protective layers covering the brain and spinal cord. Although usually benign, it can cause serious symptoms over time due to pressure on the brain.

Symptoms occur due to:
β€’ Pressure from tumour growth
β€’ Nerve and vessel irritation
β€’ Brain fluid blockage
β€’ Swelling around the tumour

If you experience persistent headaches, seizures, vision issues or weakness on one side of the body, consult a neurospecialist for early diagnosis and treatment.

Successful Treatment of a Rare Skull-Base Brain Condition

A 33-year-old woman who initially experienced persistent nasal blockage was later diagnosed with a rare brain herniation, where a part of the brain had slipped into the nasal cavity through a skull-base defect. If not treated in time, this condition can lead to serious infections, neurological complications, or even life-threatening outcomes.

Under the care of Dr. Anurag Saxena, the patient underwent a minimally invasive skull-base surgery, allowing the brain to be repositioned and the defect to be repaired with precision. The patient has now recovered well and returned to normal life.

This rare and challenging case has been covered by leading national media platforms. Read the full stories:
