Happy Buddha Purnima to all đ
This sacred full moon carries a powerful energy for stillness, awareness, and inner clarity. The Purnima tithi naturally supports a calm and reflective mind, making it the perfect time to go within. It is believed that on this very day, over 2500 years ago, Lord Buddha attained enlightenment.
Letâs take a moment to understand his journey.
Who was Gautama Buddha?
Born into the Sakya lineage, he explored deep states of meditation under renowned teachers like Alara Kalama and Uddaka Ramaputta, even reaching the highest levels of meditative absorption. Yet, something within remained unresolved.
Why? Because he realized that the root impurities of the mind were still present.
The human mind holds deep-seated patternsâoften described as the six inner enemies: desire, anger, greed, attachment, ego, and jealousy. True liberation comes only when these are completely dissolved.
So what path did Buddha reveal?
He introduced Vipassanaâa powerful practice of observing bodily sensations with complete awareness and without reaction. By simply witnessing, we allow sensations to arise and pass, gradually weakening their hold over us.
This leads to the profound realization that everything is impermanentâand when we truly understand this, attachment naturally falls away.
He emphasized balancing Samatha (calm and concentration) with Vipassana (insight and wisdom), all rooted in Sila (right conduct).
Buddha is revered not just as a spiritual master, but as an explorer of the inner worldâsomeone who discovered a path to freedom and shared it in a way that anyone can experience.
⨠On this Buddha Purnima, take a moment to cleanse your energy, anchor stillness, and invite higher awareness into your spaceâboth at home and at work.
