Another feather in the cap for Centre for Chest Surgery Team at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. Our research article published recently describing the result of Robotic Assisted repair of Diaphragmatic eventration.

Diaphragmatic Eventration results from weakness of the diaphragm (muscle of respiration that separates chest from abdominal organs). It leads to a floppy diaphragm usually on one side which is pushed up by abdominal organs compressing the lungs leading to severe limitation of lifestyle due to severe breathlessness.

Surgical treatment using the state of art Robotic Surgery can provide excellent symptomatic relief in properly selected patients without the need of large conventional open surgery cuts.
