I had the privilege of delivering two talks and moderating a scientific session at the 𝟐𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐎𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐀𝐏𝐎𝐀 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔), 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟒𝐭𝐡 – 𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐚𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐩𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥, 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐩𝐮𝐫, 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚. The congress brought together distinguished faculty and delegates from across the Asia Pacific region and several other countries, fostering meaningful global academic exchange.

I delivered talks on:
• “Revision Hip – Salvaging a Failed Total Hip Replacement (Arthroplasty): Use of Conical Tapered Modular and/or Non-Modular Stems”
• “Conversion Arthroplasty: Total Hip Replacement (Arthroplasty) after Failed Fixation for Subtrochanteric Fractures”

I also had an opportunity to moderated a Scientific Session on “Conversion Arthroplasty,” facilitating discussions on contemporary strategies in managing Complex Hip Reconstruction cases.

With the rising number of Primary Knee/Hip Replacement Surgeries being performed worldwide, the management of Failed Fixation and Failed Knee/Hip Replacement (Arthroplasty) cases has assumed increasing importance. Careful surgical planning, appropriate implant selection, and adherence to sound reconstructive principles remain crucial in restoring mobility, stability, and long-term functional outcomes.

Academic Platforms such as “25th Congress of Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association (APOA) – 2026” continue to strengthen collaboration, encourage evidence-based dialogue, and contribute towards Advancing Knee & Hip Replacement excellence for the benefit of patients globally.

It was a privilege to deliver the esteemed 𝐃𝐫 𝐉. 𝐂. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚 𝐎𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, instituted in fond memory of 𝐃𝐫 𝐉. 𝐂. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚, a highly revered Orthopaedic Surgeon of Rajasthan who played a pivotal role in shaping generations of Young Orthopaedic Surgeons to Advance modern, state-of-the-art orthopaedic care across the state.

In my oration titled “𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐲,” I shared my perspective on the pursuit of excellence—emphasising that true mastery extends beyond Technical Expertise in Knee and Hip Replacement surgery to encompass our responsibilities as Teachers, Mentors, and Human Beings, guided by Ethics, Empathy, Discipline, and Continuous Learning.

I delivered this oration during the “37th Annual Conference of the Rajasthan Orthopaedic Surgeons Association - ROSACON 2026, held from 9th –11th January 2026 at Pushkar, and organised by the Department of Orthopaedics, JLN Medical College & Ajmer Orthopaedic Society, Ajmer.
