We have the best faculty members for over all development of your child future & growth.Offering a comprehensive education program, tailored for Students visit http://www.basavainternationalschool.org/ Basava International School has already made a big impact on the Capital’s education scene by combining the values of a traditional society with the aspirations of a globalised generation. Set up by the well-known KLE Society of Karnataka, the school recognizes the need for quality education for the children who are growing up to face an increasingly competitive world. This is one of the largest networks of institutions for higher studies and technical education in India. KLE will complete 100 years of its service in 2014. With the strong backing and expertise from the parent body, Basava has taken the route of innovation and out-of-the-box approach to school education. The teaching methods and programs have been reworked in this institution keeping in mind the need of the children from homes where both parents are working. It’s a holistic approach – pupils learn, solve their problems in the classroom and move forward. They go home knowing that learning is fun, that it’s a collective exercise. No doubt Basava is considered one of the best schools south of South Delhi. In a happy and happening environment here children prepare themselves not for examinations but for Life. The school has an ideal student-teacher ratio of 15:1. Concepts are explained through audio-visual techniques and other innovative methods. Classrooms are equipped with interactive smart boards. Encouragement to project method and experimentation make the learning process more exciting. ICT is an integral part of teaching-learning. Children take care of their health through regular morning exercises, swimming and sports activities on a sprawling school ground and generate social awareness through debates, exhibitions, symposia, camps and social outreach programs. Cultural programs and co-curricular activities are organized by various Houses and Clubs. In short, the 21st Century goals of learning are strongly pursued in this school. Basava has done extremely well in CBSE Board Examinations with students earning merit certificates at higher secondary level and scoring full CGPA at class X level. Its students take part in international programs. Academicians and environmentalists from other countries regularly visit the school. It also won the zonal basketball championship this year. Students from this school have been playing cricket for the states of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. The school’s Environment Club is involved in the US-sponsored Globe Program. The school encourages its children to reach out to the underprivileged through planned and organized activities and the Interact Club works in coordination with various NGOs. Basava stands out in terms of care and innovations. It believes that our tradition and culture are like a buoy that prevents someone from going astray. Otherwise despite considerable talent one may not be able to leave his mark anywhere. This is all the more important today as we are moving into an increasingly borderless world. Parents of the school stand as strong pillars of strength as represented by a democratically elected PTA body. The management has created a healthy work atmosphere in the school. Under the able leadership of the Principal, the dedicated faculty of the school ensures that their children know the link between knowledge and life.

The Principal and Teachers of Basava International School, New Delhi want the children grow up in a safe and caring city.
Let’s think what I can do to make Delhi a sensitive city.
Can I
Be sensitive towards the needs of others
Try to understand people around us and respect the diversity in them
Never consider the path of violence as a method for conflict resolution
Always accept and encourage dialogue as the instrument to sort out differences in opinions
Respect the opposite s*x
Take care of the weak, particularly the old, the women and the children
Stay calm in the face of provocation
Do not get carried away by a situation but understand and react to it consciously
Be bold enough to say NO to wrong doing
Never intimidate anyone in life and do not allow anyone to intimidate me
Be affectionate to the younger, respectful to the elders and honest in our friendship
Promote peace in the family and in the neighbourhood
Not to do anything that can cause suffering to people around me
Understand the strength of love over brute force
?
At Basava we have taken the pledge to do all this. What about you?

Merry Christmas to all.
