Overview of the Report:-A Research Paper entitled ‘Intended or Unintended Doping? A Review of the Presence of Doping Substances in Dietary Supplements Used in Sports’, published on 4th oct.2017, by ‘Martínez-Sanz, José Miguel et al.’, has highlighted that around 12-58% of all Dietary Supplements, including Whey Protein Supplements, tends to have prohibited ingredients as per WADA’s List of Prohibited Substances that can negatively affect the consumer’s Health, possibly lead to failure in Doping Test & suspension from sports due to the violation of World Doping Code. Considering the huge cost & possible health hazards that are associated with the Dietary Supplements, the Indian consumers, especially sportspersons, must acknowledge the fact that spending thousands of money on Dietary Supplements in comparison to natural, low costing & much more nutritious food items is not logical in long terms.

Admin’s Remark/Conclusion:-Don’t put yourself at risk of severely affecting your health, failing in doping test & ruining your whole professional sports career due to the consumption of usually marketed contaminated supplements including ‘whey protein supplements’ as there are countless low costing, natural & easily digestible foods that have the potential to provide similar or even better results for muscle protein synthesis in body.
