DYK: Lifting weights during pregnancy isn’t automatically off limits!

The idea that pregnant women shouldn’t lift anything at all is outdated.

For most healthy pregnancies, light-to-moderate lifting with proper form is perfectly safe.

What’s generally safe:

• Light-to-moderate weights with good technique

• Everyday lifting like groceries or toddlers

• Strength exercises approved by your doctor or trainer

What to avoid:

• Heavy, sudden, or strainfull lifting

• Holding your breath while lifting (Valsalva maneuver)

• Exercises that cause pain, pressure, or dizziness

• Lifting that strains your lower back or abdomen

As pregnancy progresses:

• Your center of gravity shifts—adjust accordingly

• Listen to your body and reduce intensity as needed

• Consider working with a prenatal fitness specialist

Always get clearance from your gynaecologist before continuing or starting any lifting routine during pregnancy.

The only ceiling that exists is the one you build in your own mind. 🚀✨

Every limitation you believe in becomes a wall. Every doubt you feed becomes a barrier.

But here’s the truth: the moment you expand your thinking, you expand your entire world.

What belief do you need to let go of to fly higher? đź’›

Will eating Jamun make your baby dark? 🛑 Let’s bust this pregnancy myth!

Mothers and grandmothers often worry that eating Jamun (black plum) during pregnancy will affect the baby’s skin colour.

But medically, there is zero truth to this!

Jamun is actually a super healthy fruit.

Here is why you SHOULD eat it:

đź’ś Rich in Vitamin C and fibre
đź’ś Helps lower high blood sugar
đź’ś Fights anaemia and helps with weight management

⚠️ Doctor’s Caution: Moderation is key! Eating too many can cause acidity or digestive issues, and eating them on an empty stomach might drop your sugar levels too low. Wash them well to remove pesticides!

Enjoy your 3-4 daily Jamuns guilt-free! Have you heard this myth before? Tell us below! 👇

Don’t suffer in silence! 🛑 Let’s talk about intimacy after menopause.

Many women experience dryness, itching, and pain during intimacy after menopause, but it isn’t something you just have to live with.

As we age, or after deliveries and weight changes, the va**na can become lax, thin, and dry.

The Good News: While we traditionally only had lubricants, there is now a non-surgical laser treatment called IntimaLase (by Fotona)!

✨ What does it do? It’s a painless, 30-minute session that increases lubrication and reduces irritation and itching (without any infections).

Pain during intimacy can be a real sore point in a marriage, so please don’t hesitate to talk to your gynecologist.

Help is available—go grab it! 💖

Stop waiting for the perfect moment—start with what you have. ⚡️

That five-minute walk beats the hour-long workout you never started.

The small healthy meal you prepared beats the perfect diet you planned but never began.

Progress lives in the doing, not the planning.

Take one small step today. It’s enough. 💛

Left side? Right side? Back? 🛌 Let’s clear up the pregnancy sleep position debate!

We’ve all heard the rule: “Only sleep on your left side during pregnancy.”

But is that the whole truth? Here is the doctor’s take:

âś… Left OR Right is fine! Medical studies consider both positions to be equivalent.

âś… Avoid sleeping on your back for long periods. This is especially important if there is growth restriction in your baby.

âś… The 5-Month Rule: Preferring your left or right side for better blood supply only really matters after the 5th month.

When in doubt consult with your gynecologist.

Most importantly? Get a restful sleep!

Don’t let position anxiety keep you awake. Relax and get some rest. 💤

“Morning sickness” is a bit of a misleading name!

About 70% of pregnant women experience nausea during pregnancy—but it doesn’t always follow a 9-to-5 schedule.

It can strike at any time of day or night, making the term “morning sickness” a little misleading.

What helps:

• Eat small, frequent meals throughout the day

• Keep crackers or dry snacks nearby

• Stay hydrated with small, regular sips

• Ginger tea or ginger candies can offer natural relief

• Avoid strong smells that trigger nausea

When to see your doctor:

• If nausea is severe and persistent

• If you’re unable to keep food or water down

• If you’re losing weight

You’re not alone, —nausea in pregnancy is incredibly common and usually eases by the second trimester!
