I was honored to be invited by University Hospital Basel, Switzerland, to participate in the 4th UroArt Symposium on Kidney Cancer. It was a privilege to contribute to the faculty through a live demonstration of a Robotic Partial Nephrectomy and by delivering a lecture on "Complex Partial Nephrectomy: Tips and Tricks." Additionally, I had the opportunity to lead a Master Class on the subject.

Beyond the operating theater, the symposium offered invaluable academic and social exchanges with esteemed global leaders, including Inderbir Gill, Alex Mottrie, Arnuf Stenzl, Paolo Gontero, Axel Bex, Helge Seifert ,Abbi Hosseini and Marianne Brehmer.
We concluded the trip with a memorable excursion to the Engelberg-Titlis Ski Resort. A truly wonderful experience combining high-level surgical innovation with the stunning landscapes of Switzerland.

International Collaboration in Robotic Renal Transplantation πŸ€–πŸ©Ί

It was a pleasure hosting the Urology team from Jakarta, Indonesia at our centre for a focused academic visit to our Robotic Renal Transplant Programme.

Over two enriching days, the visiting team observed multiple complex procedures including one robotic kidney transplant and engaged in detailed clinical and surgical discussions. Such interactions not only promote skill sharing but also strengthen global partnerships in advancing patient care through minimally invasive transplant surgery.

We are proud to contribute to international training and knowledge exchange in the field of robotic transplantation.
Looking forward to continued collaboration!

A Journey from Lifelong Struggle to Continence 🌟

An 18-year-old young man came to us after enduring multiple rectovesical procedures since birth. Over the years, he was left with complete incontinence and a large rectovesical fistula, despite having a continent Mitrofanoff diversion along with a long segment bulbo-membranous urethral stricture.
The constant urinary leakage through the re**um had taken a huge physical and emotional toll.

After detailed evaluation, our team performed a rectovesical fistula repair along with urethroplasty with gracilis muscle interposition β€” a complex but rewarding reconstructive procedure which took almost 8 hours.

✨ The outcome?

The fistula is successfully closed
No re**al urinary leakage
Was finally able to pass urine per urethra naturally.
His smile had returned as he was now dry, continent, and confident

Finally able to live a normal, happy, continent life

This case is a reminder that even after years of failed surgeries, hope is never lost. With the right expertise, planning, and perseverance, lives can truly be transformed.

πŸ’™ From lifelong incontinence to continence β€” a new beginning.
