šØāāļøāØ A lesson I learn every single day in medicineā¦
Recently, before a kidney transplant š§¬, I started explaining the complexitiesāthe multiple vessels, the risks, the surgical steps.
Halfway through, I noticed the family looked even more anxious š.
So I paused, smiled š and said:
š āWe will take care of everything. Your loved one will be all right.ā
š In that moment, their fear turned into relief.
The truth is⦠patients donāt need medical jargon.
What they need is:
šæ Clarity
šæ Empathy
šæ Reassurance
Because medicine is not only about science š¬, it is also about hope, healing & human connection š¤.
š Forever grateful to serve not just as a surgeon, but also as a source of comfort and trust.
š” Sometimes the strongest medicine we can give is reassurance.
