As a clinical psychologist, I want to emphasize that every struggle with suicidal thoughts is valid, regardless of the level of intensity. *Suicidal ideation exists on a spectrum, ranging from active attempts to random intrusive thoughts* .

It's essential to recognize that individuals may experience different types, such as having a plan and intent, suicidal intent without a plan, suicidal thoughts with or without a method, thoughts of morbidity, or fleeting intrusive thoughts.

It's crucial to understand that *suicidal ideation is not a sign of weakness, but rather a cry for help* . Every struggle deserves compassion, empathy, and support. You are not alone in this fight.

This World Su***de Prevention Day, let’s take a powerful step forward: Start the Conversation. 🗨️ Ending the stigma and opening up about mental health can make all the difference.

The su***de death rate in India has seen significant changes from 2014 to 2021:

Men: Increased from 17.0 per lakh to 20.6 per lakh.
Women: Slightly decreased from 8.5 per lakh to 8.1 per lakh.
Overall male-to-female su***de ratio rose from 2.1 to 2.6.
