Got an ankle sprain?
A properly applied crepe bandage can help stabilize the ankle and reduce strain during the early phase of injury.

Support first, then start guided recovery.

— Dr. Anjana Gupta | Physiotherapist
An ankle sprain occurs when the ligaments around the ankle are stretched or injured, usually after a sudden twist or misstep.

In the early stage, supporting the ankle with a crepe bandage can help by:
• providing gentle compression
• reducing swelling
• improving stability while walking
• protecting the injured ligaments

Proper bandaging technique is important so that the ankle is supported without restricting circulation.

Along with compression, the initial care for ankle sprain usually includes rest, ice, elevation, and gradual physiotherapy exercises to restore strength and stability.

If ankle pain or swelling persists, proper assessment is important to avoid long-term instability.

Shoulder taping can help support the joint and reduce strain during movement.
shoulder pain can occur due to several reasons, including frozen shoulder, muscle strain, or rotator cuff irritation. Proper assessment is important before starting treatment.
Right shoulder pain is a common problem and may develop due to conditions such as frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), muscle imbalance, rotator cuff irritation, or prolonged poor posture.

Frozen shoulder causes stiffness, pain while lifting the arm, and difficulty reaching overhead or behind the back. It is often seen in people with diabetes or after long periods of shoulder immobility.

Kinesio taping is sometimes used in physiotherapy to provide gentle support to the shoulder muscles and improve circulation around the joint. This can help reduce strain and assist movement during recovery.

However, taping alone is not a treatment. It should be combined with proper physiotherapy exercises, mobility work, and strengthening to restore normal shoulder function.

Kinesio Taping for Knee Pain
Knee taping can help reduce pain and support knee movement without restricting mobility.
When applied correctly, kinesio tape can improve stability and reduce stress around the knee joint.

— Physio Anjana
Kinesio taping is commonly used in physiotherapy to support the knee joint, reduce pain, and improve movement.

The tape gently lifts the skin, which helps improve blood circulation and lymphatic flow. This can reduce swelling, decrease inflammation, and support normal knee function.

Knee taping is often helpful for conditions such as:
• patellofemoral pain
• ligament strain
• knee instability
• sports knee pain

However, taping should always be used along with proper strengthening and movement correction for long-term recovery.

For physiotherapy guidance and knee assessment, you can contact through the number mentioned in my bio.

Calf muscles are your second heart.

Movement is the only pump in your lower limbs.

Weak calves affect circulation, gait, knee load, and hip stability.

Strength is protection.

— Dr. Anjana Gupta
The calf muscle complex plays a critical role in venous return and lower limb biomechanics.

Each step activates the calf pump, helping blood return to the heart against gravity.

Reduced calf strength may contribute to:

• Poor circulation
• Altered gait mechanics
• Increased knee joint stress
• Hip instability

After 45, structured calf strengthening becomes essential for joint protection and long-term mobility.

Assessment matters more than random exercise.

Morning stiffness after rest and evening knee pain after walking are not the same.

• Morning pain may indicate mechanical stiffness.
• Evening pain may suggest muscle weakness or load intolerance.

A proper knee pain assessment helps identify the root cause before starting exercises.

At Physiocare Physiotherapy, we treat knee pain, back pain, neck pain, and joint conditions with structured evaluation and personalised physiotherapy care.

“Online Physiotherapy kaam karti hai ya nahi?”Online physiotherapy YouTube exercise nahi hoti.

It is structured assessment, movement analysis, and guided correction.

Har knee pain case ko touch therapy ki zarurat nahi hoti.

Sahi evaluation se hi recovery start hoti hai.

DM “CHECK” to know if online guidance is suitable for you 🌸

— Physio Anjana
Bahut log mujhse poochte hain —
“Online physiotherapy effective hoti hai?”

Answer hai —
Yes, agar structured ho.

Online assessment mein main check karti hoon:

• Aapka pain pattern
• Aap kaise walk karte ho
• Stairs pe movement kaisa hai
• Muscle strength kis stage par hai
• Knee kitna load tolerate kar raha hai

Physiotherapy sirf touch therapy nahi hoti.

Correct movement correction
aur muscle activation sabse important hota hai.

Chronic knee pain,
early arthritis,
ya strength recovery ke cases mein
online guidance kaafi effective hoti hai.

Lekin agar acute swelling ho
ya recent injury ho
toh offline evaluation better hota hai.

Agar aap unsure ho,
DM “CHECK”
main guide kar dungi 🌸

Doing exercises regularly…
but knee pain is still not improving?

Exercise is not the first step.
Assessment is.

Women 45+ deserve structured guidance — not guesswork.

DM “CHECK” for online knee assessment. Many women 45+ struggle with persistent knee pain despite regular exercises.

Without proper assessment of:
• Muscle strength stage
• Movement pattern
• Load distribution

Exercises may delay recovery.

A structured physiotherapy assessment helps identify the root cause and guides safe progression.

If your knee pain is not improving, professional evaluation is important.

Online knee assessment available.

“Back Pain? Try This Simple Extension to Decompress Your Spine.”Sitting all day?

Your spine needs extension.

Simple back extension exercises can help reduce stiffness, improve posture, and relieve back pain.

— Physio Anjana 🌸
Long hours of sitting cause the spine to stay in a flexed position.
Over time, this increases pressure on the discs and surrounding structures.

Simple back extension exercises help:

• Reduce stiffness
• Improve spinal mobility
• Decrease disc pressure
• Activate back muscles
• Improve posture

Extension movements gently encourage spinal decompression and reduce stress caused by prolonged sitting.

⚠️ This exercise may not be suitable for every condition (like severe spondylolisthesis or certain post-surgery cases). Always perform within a pain-free range.

For personalised guidance, proper assessment is important.

“Doing Exercise but Not Seeing Results? You May Be Missing Protein.”

Exercise alone does not build muscle.

Without enough protein,
your body cannot repair or strengthen muscles.

Muscle strength = joint protection.

— Physio Anjana
Many women 45+ focus on exercise but forget about nutrition.

Protein is essential for:

• Muscle repair
• Muscle strength
• Recovery after exercise
• Joint support
• Preventing muscle loss with age

After 40–45, natural muscle mass starts declining.
If protein intake is low,
you may feel weakness, fatigue, or persistent joint pain.

Strong muscles protect knees, hips, and back.

Exercise builds stimulus.
Protein builds strength.

For personalised guidance, proper assessment is important.

“Is floor sitting permanently restricted after Total Knee Replacement?”

Is floor sitting banned for life after TKR?

The answer is not the same for everyone.
Decisions should be based on recovery — not fear.

— PhysioAnjana
After Total Knee Replacement (TKR),
deep bending and floor sitting are usually restricted during the initial recovery phase.

However, this does not automatically mean a lifetime ban for every patient.
It depends on:

• Implant design
• Range of motion achieved
• Muscle strength
• Surgeon’s protocol

Permanent avoidance may reduce functional ability over time,
but attempting deep flexion without proper assessment is also not safe.

Medical Note:
Deep squatting or full floor sitting after Total Knee Replacement is not advisable for all patients. Recommendations vary based on individual recovery and surgeon guidance.

Proper physiotherapy assessment is essential.
