Dr. Rajat Gupta is a Board certified, extensively trained and experienced surgeon in every aspect of plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Having done his complete training from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, he has been awarded prestigious fellowships at Instituo de Benito, Spain for Cosmetic Surgery and in Breast Surgery at Hospital Sant Pau, Spain. He also visited Clinique Bizet, Paris to hone his skills in Ear Reconstruction Surgery. Dr Gupta’s in-depth knowledge and passion for cosmetic surgery sets him apart from others in this field. He is acknowledged by his colleague for his eye for detailed aesthetic evaluation of each body part. He is among the first few in India to start Endoscopic (Minimally invasive) Facelift Surgery. He mastered this technique at one of the best centers for cosmetic surgery in Europe. He specialises in cosmetic surgery of face and body and reconstructive surgery of Breast & Ear. Our patient came to us seeking a more defined, masculine chest and better overall torso definition.

We performed Gynecomastia surgery using our which removes excess gland tissue without leaving any visible scar on the front of the chest, delivering a clean, natural male chest contour.

In this video, we take you inside a very challenging redo cosmetic surgery on a patient who had a breast lift with implants and abdominal liposuction 20 years ago. She was not happy with the earlier results and came to us for corrections. What makes this case even more complex is her rare medical condition that can make anaesthesia life-threatening if not handled properly.

This patient has Anderson-Tawil Syndrome, which puts her at risk of malignant hyperthermia. This is a serious and potentially fatal reaction to certain anaesthesia medicines. Because of this, the anaesthesia plan had to be carefully designed to avoid all known triggers.

To keep her safe, we avoided all anaesthesia gases that could trigger malignant hyperthermia. Instead, we used total intravenous anaesthesia with oxygen and air only. We used target-controlled infusion pumps to maintain the correct anaesthesia depth and BIS monitoring to closely track her response throughout the surgery. As an extra safety measure, we kept dantrolene sodium ready in case of any emergency temperature rise.

This case reflects the level of care we uphold at our facility, where meticulous planning, seamless teamwork, and advanced monitoring come together to ensure patient safety, even in the most complex surgical situations.
