If you have been at the Linga Bhairavi's abode at IYC or at Sadhguru Sannidhi Chattarpur, Delhi you would have seen a lot of yellow sutras tied around the Trishul. Ever wondered what it is?

These yellow threads are called Mangalya Bala Sutras.
A consecrated turmeric-dyed thread tied around a turmeric root can be offered to Devi by tying it around the Trishul. This is made as an offering to seek Devi's grace for the fulfilment of one’s desires or for the well being of one’s spouse. Both men and women can make this offering.
