MLA Iftkhar Ahmed. .Chairs Review Meeting on Development Works in GMC Rajouri

Rajouri, October 16, 2025 — MLA Rajouri, Iftkhar Ahmed, chaired a comprehensive review meeting at Dakbunglow Rajouri to assess the progress of various ongoing and pending development projects at Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri. Key projects under review included the construction of a 180-bedded hospital, a residential hostel, a 33 kVA Receiving Station, a park, and several other essential infrastructure works.

During the meeting, MLA Iftkhar Ahmed directed all concerned departments to speed up the pace of work and ensure time-bound completion of the projects. He emphasized that these development works are vital for improving the region’s healthcare and educational infrastructure and must be completed without delay for the benefit of the public.

The meeting was attended by the Principal of GMC Rajouri, Chief Accounts Officer (CAO), Executive Engineer (Xen) PWD, Xen PDD, Xen Mechanical, and other senior officials. The MLA reviewed department-wise progress and instructed officials to resolve any administrative or technical bottlenecks through proactive coordination.

Reaffirming his commitment to public service, MLA Iftkhar Ahmed stated, “The people of Rajouri deserve access to modern and well-equipped facilities. We must work together to ensure that these projects are completed efficiently and within the set timelines.”

🚨 DRUG PEDDLER ARRESTED WITH HEROIN-LIKE SUBSTANCE 🚨

Samba Police continues its relentless drive against drug smugglers & peddlers.

During naka duty at Keso Manhashan, a police party from PS Ramgarh intercepted a motorcycle (JK02DD-1972) coming from Koulpur side. Upon checking, 10 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from the possession of the rider.

👉 The accused has been identified as Nazir Ahmed S/o Moju Din R/o Rakh Barotian, Tehsil Vijaypur, Samba.
👉 The contraband & vehicle were seized on the spot.
👉 FIR No. 74/2025 under NDPS Act (8/21/22/25) registered at Police Station Ramgarh.
