Only 10 days left until Purple Day! 💜

On March 26, let's come together to raise awareness about epilepsy. Wear something purple, share your stories of strength and resilience, and show the world that epilepsy may affect 1 in 26 people... but together, we are truly unstoppable!
Epilepsy doesn't define us — our courage, support, and unity do. 💪❤️

Who's with us this Purple Day? Wear purple on March 26, post your photos, and tag a friend (or two!) to spread the word.

Let's make our voices heard and reduce the stigma, one purple moment at a time!

Managing Stress and Anxiety: A Guide for Epilepsy Patients

Living with epilepsy can sometimes feel overwhelming, but remember, you’re stronger than you think! Stress and anxiety are common triggers for seizures, but with the right strategies, you can take control and improve your quality of life.

Here’s how:

Practice Relaxation Techniques: Try deep breathing, meditation, or progressive muscle relaxation to calm your mind and body.

Stay Active: Incorporate gentle exercises like walking, yoga, or tai chi into your routine – they boost mood and reduce stress.

Build a Support Network: Talk to friends, family, or join a support group. Sharing your experiences can make a big difference.

Seek Professional Help: Consider talking therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or consult your doctor about options.

Prioritize Self-Care: Get enough sleep, eat balanced meals, and set boundaries to avoid burnout.

Studies show that these methods can even help reduce seizure frequency for some people. You’re not alone – reach out to us at epilepsyindia.org for more resources and support.

Every child deserves a desk in a classroom, not a corner in a dark room. 🎒🏫

In many parts of India, children with epilepsy are kept hidden at home. Parents often fear the judgment of neighbors or the "stigma" of a seizure. But silence is not the cure—medicine is.

The Reality:
• Epilepsy is Treatable: Up to 70% of children can live completely seizure-free lives with the right medication. 💊
• A Bright Future: With medical support, these children can excel in studies, sports, and arts.
• Community Support: They don't need our pity; they need our understanding and an equal chance to learn.

Let’s stop the "shame" and start the treatment. Don’t let a medical condition steal a child’s education.

Be kind. Spread facts, not fear. 💜

Let’s talk about a sensitive topic: Marriage and Epilepsy in India. 👰🏽‍♀️✨

Many families hide an epilepsy diagnosis due to fear of "rejection" in marriage proposals. This stigma is outdated and harmful.

The Facts:
• Epilepsy is NOT a barrier to a happy marriage.
• Under a doctor’s supervision, 90% of women with epilepsy have successful pregnancies and healthy babies. 👶
