Obesity: A fast growing disease among children!
Obesity is one of the fastest growing diseases among small children and it’s very important to keep an eye on it. We all love a child with chubby cheeks, soft and pinkish skin but have we ever thought that this is resulting in obesity and can cause many problems like diabetes, B P etc in an early age? You will be surprise to know that in India the rate of obesity among children is higher than any other country and its increasing. The main reason for obesity is food that we intake and lower physical activities among children.
Now a day’s it’s really become difficult to move children from television and video. They just sit and watch television and have junk food that is causing obesity. As a parent it becomes very important for us to reduce their sitting activity and increase physical movement. We all think that just by eating green vegetable and fruits we can keep our child fit but this is our wrong conception. Children have strong resistance and immunity power and can digest everything easily; so to make them fit it is not important only to change his food habit but you need to increase their physical activities and will see the difference. It is very important to take your kids out in the fresh air and get him involve in games like cricket, basketball, baseball etc. This type of outing not only help you in connecting with your child but also enable you to inhale fresh air and relieve depression, anxiety and stress for both you and your child. Outings just not always mean playing you can always motivate him to do other things that he loves to do and help him to keep healthier. If he love to dance then let him dance and be with him. If they love to do painting then take him out and let him play with the colors. You can also take your kid for a good morning walk or jog and enjoy that morning togetherness. Although is very difficult to divert the mind of child from video games and television but it is important to teach them the importance of fitness and how a healthier life will inevitably determine his well-being in the future.
