On 1st Nov,2025, members of Committee of sexual harassment of women of National Dental College and Hospital successfully attended the training on POSH ACT 2013 under UGC and AICTE regulation. This act aims to prevent and prohibit sexual harassment of women at work place. Certificates of 1-day training competition were issued and an Internal Committee was formed under the Section-4 of the Sexual Harrassment Act of 2013.

On September 26, 2025, National Dental College in Dera Bassi successfully conducted a play and skit event organized by the Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) and Kia India. The event was part of Kia India's CSR initiative, Project DROP (Develop Responsible Outreach for Plastic), which aims to promote sustainable plastic waste management practices in India. The event aimed to promote a responsible outlook towards plastic waste among students. A talk and question-and-answer session was conducted to educate students about sustainable plastic waste management practices. A plastic collector box was installed in the campus to encourage responsible waste disposal habits among students.

Elders are important part of our society as they are lanterns in the night and their wisdom is a guiding light for younger generations.
To honour the elder persons , elder persons day was celebrated in the department of Prosthodontics of National Dental college on 1st October, 2025.
Post graduate students and interns of the department presented a skit to guide the elders about the role of oral prosthesis in improving function and Esthetics in their lives . The skit was well planned and executed in a very interesting way . Chairman Sir and Principal Sir interacted with elders and distributed them dentures followed by cake cutting and hospitality for our elder patients.
They enjoyed being clicked with our selfie frame also.

Our Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery team, guided by Dr. Amaninder Singh (HOD) with the dedicated efforts of Dr. Richa and Dr. Anubhav along with Dr. Divye Malhotra’s team, successfully treated a boy aged 19 years with an untreated cleft palate.
Procedure performed: Two flap Palatoplasty.

Proud Moment for Our Institution!

We are delighted to share that Dr. Amitoj Singh, Postgraduate Student, Department of Periodontology, National Dental College & Hospital, Dera Bassi, has been awarded the ISP-MDS Dissertation Grant amounting Rs 1,92,000/- by the Indian Society of Periodontology.

His dissertation research work titled:
"Comparative evaluation of soft and hard tissue changes following dental implant placement with diode laser assisted stage lI surgery in flap and flapless technique - A clinical and radiographic study"
has been selected for research funding support under the ISP Research Grant Scheme.

This grant is a great encouragement in his academic journey, and we sincerely thank ISP for supporting young researchers with such opportunities.

We are delighted to announce that the Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, National Dental College & Hospital, Dera Bassi (Punjab) has recently installed the Labomed PRIMA dental operating microscope 🦷🔬

This state-of-the-art microscope is a valuable addition to our clinical and academic facilities. It allows our postgraduate students and faculty to perform highly precise procedures such as:
