AMH (anti-Müllerian Hormone) assay has taken an increasingly important place in the management of female infertility. Case of the week!!!

3 day old baby referred by one of our senior paediatrician in the city as a case of failed Rule's tube insertion and failure to thrive.

Spot film showed Ryles tube tip in mid thoracic cavity. Repeat radiograph after re insertion of tube showed coiling of the tube below the level of tracheal bifurcation and gasless abdomen with absence of fundic bubble.

Also note was made of HEMI VERTEBRAE at two levels in lower thoracic and lumbar region.
CT cuts showed ISOLATED ESOPHAGEAL ATRESIA with no fistulous communication with the trachea.
Incidentally was seen empty right renal fossa pointing towards RIGHT RENAL AGENESIS.

Final diagnosis: ANOMALOUS VACTERL ASSOCIATION
