Few questions are being asked regarding Vetiver Essential Oil, its age, maturity, quality and its plantation. Few I would reply here 😊 This is how (in photo) we do the plantation of Vetiver slips(cutting). Means the root of Vetiver is planted. The farm looks very empty and it is done in March. Monsoon is very essential for vetiver as it needs lots of water. The plant is ready in almost one year and roots are taken out in in winters. Our Vetiver EO oil GCMS lab test, and our as well as aromatherapist’s experience says that the Vetiver grown and distilled in Ganges River are (where we do in our farm) has best quality, softness, depth and more Khusimol content. If stored properly this oil can last up to 10 years and even more✨

Recently we have again started to offer floral waxes like Mimosa wax, Pink Lotus wax, Rose Wax, Jasmine Wax, Champaca Golden, Frangipani Wax etc and all the waxes which we obtain from our absolute oils manufacturing process. Can you guess which wax is this(chocolate color)?
You might think that it is Chocolate /Cocoa or similar product😉
It is the most famous “Champaca, Golden wax”🌸Next photo is of Mimosa Wax 💖Each wax has different color and it is different color than its Absolute. Consistency and texture of the wax also differs. However most of the them can be easily melted and are widely used to make natural soaps, natural solid perfume, natural candles etc. Please check the stock availability of waxes in advances as these are pretty hit items and sells very fast esp rose wax 💖 ✨

Cedarwood logs from Naturally fallen Cedarwood trees in Kashmir🌲 We deeply realise the value of such logs in current pandemic situation very much. As you know, in India we burn dead bodies, and now here have happened so many deaths due to new COVID mutant that wood is in scarcity at few places, and people have to wait for many hours to burn the dead body at cemetery. As a tradition the body is burned on the very same day (death happens), preferably with in 6 hrs, or before evening. Unfortunately we can not supply these naturally fallen woods from Kashmir to other places! It reminds how painful the life can be when last rituals can not be done properly 🍂Currently corona situation is bad in India. People who suffer from it face sudden drop of oxygen level and lots of sufferings. Unfortunately Lots of quick deaths have happened. At Nisarga Farms we are doing our best to take all precautionary measures and keep the oxygen in lungs at best and maintain immunity. Our daily Classical Hatha Yoga practices helps us a lot to keep the lungs and body “prana” enriched. We pray for All people to remain safe, healthy and take all precautionary steps to fight corona. Being properly trained in Classical Hatha Yoga by , we are ready to offer further help to people who are in need. Please feel free to contact for any assistance for oils and yoga🙏🏽✨🌈

The traditional New Year in India was celebrated (few days back) on 13th of April. Also from 13th April starts 9 days spiritual fest🎉These 9 days are very important both for inward and outward journey. Beautifully bloomed Lotus flower (photo)is the perfect symbol of such days, also Lotus is the national flower of India. Getting requests from few aromatherapists that they want to see distillation unit🔆This is one of our distillation units used for peppermint, citronella and palamrosa essential oils. Distillation unit comes in various sizes and capacity. And the size is decided considering the space, logistic feasibility to that farm and annual production. Fuel is one of the most biggest challenges to run a distillation unit. We do not use electricity to run them. Solar powered units are there but not very successful yet for smooth distillations as we wish. So conventional distillation units are most preferred 😊

Chamomile(German) flowers are in full bloom thease days. After 2-3 weeks distillation of Chamomile Essential Oil will start. Chamomile German is called as Blue Oil as the oil is blue in colour due to Chamazulene. Chamazulene is also present naturally in Yarrow due to which the oil color is blue. We grow our chamomile organically in traditional way. Also we offer dry Chamomile flowers for tea 🍵. To watch the blooming of flowers is always the most beautiful phenomenon for us💖

This season we are working on expanding the nursery of Rose Geranium and slowly plant more plants in our farm. Due to harsh Himalayan winters in Valley Rose Geranium is not able to survive easily. And and also during rainy season it becomes difficult for the plant to survive due to heavy rain. Interestingly, Rose Geranium grows at a higher altitude in Himalaya. The same where we grow our High Altitude Lavender.
So compared to True Kashmir Lavender it is tricky to grow Rose Geranium and oil yield is pretty low. However the oil is so beautiful, rare and potent that we continue to distill it 💖

Yesterday was the last day of 'Navaratri' Festival in India. Nava means nine, Ratri means night. These are the nine auspicious nights dedicated to the feminine divine aspect of our existence🙏🏽 Also on the last day there are certain plants which we planted♥️Traditionally such plantations happen on the last day and once in a year. Of course, if you wish you can plant them any time esp. in monsoon. But when we understand the deeper dimensions of nature and the power of plants, then based on nature's cycles such days are dedicated to plantation.
