World Breastfeeding Week 2023 theme

This year 2023, the World Breastfeeding Week theme is “Let’s make breastfeeding and work, work!”. The theme emphasises necessary actions by policymakers, employers and colleagues to support continued exclusive breastfeeding in working women to their infants.

The event was led by Dr Neha Verma and supported by the faculty and staff of Dept of Community Medicine, HIMS; RHTC, Gauhri Mafi and UHTC Kurkawala.
Nukkad Natak, health talks and training sessions for young mothers, motivational rally and poster competition were organised throughout the week.
Special thanks to our interns and MBBS students for their whole hearted support!

Thankyou SRHU was providing immense support, encouragement and a platform to organise such events for community welfare!

As a part of the curriculum, students of Clinical Research performed hormone estimation using ELISA. Laboratory measurements have become an essential part of medical diagnostics.

The department of Community Medicine, HIMS, SRHU, observed World AIDS Day today with the new theme “End inequalities. End AIDS.
The event kicked off with ref ribbon pinning in the department and presentation of this year's theme. The faculty members, staff, post graduates and interns then moved to the field practice areas at Gauhrimaafi and Doiwala where the community members were presented with red ribbons to commemorate the event and health awareness sessions were organised. The department took this opportunity to refresh COVID-19 appropriate behaviour amongst community members as well.
