World COPD Day 2025 was observed at Lisie Hospital on 18 Nov 2025 with the theme “Short of breath, think COPD.” The event, organized by the Department of Pulmonology with support from Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Dietetics & Nutrition, and Lisie College of Nursing, was held at the Lisie Auditorium from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The day began with registration and free PFT screening, followed by a prayer song by Dr. Kavya Sasidharan and a welcome address by Dr. Thomas Kurian. Dr. Paramez A.R delivered the keynote on COPD burden and the need for multidisciplinary care. The COPD Programme and Severe Asthma Clinic were inaugurated by Chief Guest Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Paul Karedan. Prizes were awarded for the poster competition, and nursing students presented a mime on COPD awareness. Scientific sessions covered COPD overview, pulmonary rehabilitation, nutrition, vaccination, and ICU management, led by experts including Dr. Paramez A.R, Dr. Shadiya Beegum, Mrs. Anitha Kuriakose, Dr. Subin Ahmed, and Dr. Melwin George. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Gishnu Krishnan.
