Fortis Hospital organized a workshop and seminar on partial knee replacement, led by Dr. Chris Dodd. Dr. Dodd, who received his training at Sheffield University, previously held positions at John Hopkins University in the USA and the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Oxford. He became a Consultant Surgeon at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in 1992 and retired from the NHS in 2020, but he continues to see patients at the Manor Hospital in Oxford.
Dr. Dodd is renowned as the Designer Surgeon of the Oxford Knee and is well-known for his expertise in knee surgery, with a busy schedule of national and international lectures. Furthermore, he has served as the President of both BASK and the EKS.
The event was well-attended by orthopedic professionals from other hospitals, who had the opportunity to present their cases to Dr. Dodd. Meanwhile, Dr. Dodd reviewed the postoperative cases of partial knee replacement performed by Dr. Harish Ghoota and was impressed by the results. He met with the patients and followed their recovery progress closely. Dr. Dodd also visited the hospital's facilities and was impressed by the joint replacement resources available at Fortis Faridabad. He met Mr Y Awadhiya and Dr Khursheed and complimented them that Fortis Hospital is the only hospital providing the Oxford partial knee replacement programme in Faridabad.
