Climbing the ladder, as they say!
I am pleased to share that I am now a Proctor for Stryker Mako Robotics, which allows me to travel to different hospitals, teach Robotic surgery, and share my thoughts with eminent surgeons. I was glad to be involved as a Proctor in the First Mako Robotic Knee Replacement in a Government Hospital in India (RML Hospital, New Delhi). Warm reception by Dr. Shukla sir, Dr. Meena, and Dr. Sharma who are doing a brilliant job in Orthopaedics at RML Hospital.

When it comes to knee pain, particularly issues around the patellar tendon (like patellar tendinopathy or jumper’s knee), I’ve learned that simple, consistent strategies can make a big difference. Here are a few quick tips that I’ve found effective for both physios and patients alike:

✅ Isometric Holds: Exercises like wall sits or isometric single-leg holds can help reduce pain and build tendon capacity.
✅ Progressive Loading: Gradually introduce controlled eccentric exercises, such as slow decline squats, to strengthen the tendon and prevent flare-ups.
✅ Full-Body Strengthening: Don’t just focus on the knee—addressing muscle imbalances in the quads, glutes, and hamstrings helps improve overall knee stability.
✅ Consistency Matters: Patients, trust the process and stay consistent. Physios, emphasize this—it’s a marathon, not a sprint!
