Since 1988, December 1 has been declared as World AIDS Day, a day set aside to raise awareness of the AIDS pandemic brought on by the spread of HIV infection and to remember those who have lost their lives to the disease. Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is the deadly illness known as the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) (HIV). The HIV virus targets the patient's immune system and lowers its defences against other "diseases." Around the world, non-governmental organisations, government and health officials, as well as individuals, celebrate the day, frequently by providing AIDS prevention and control education.

World Diabetes Day (WDD) is a significant healthcare event marked on November 14 every year to increase global diabetes awareness through campaigns that are seen by more than 1 billion people. It aids in recognising the significance of taking coordinated action to combat diabetes. An estimated 537 million adults (20-79 years old) had diabetes in 2021(The IDF Diabetes Atlas Tenth edition 2021).

Self-testing, or regularly checking your blood glucose levels, is a crucial component of controlling diabetes, much like making lifestyle changes and taking medicine. It enables you to observe how your efforts to properly manage your diabetes are having an effect. Specifically, it can help a person determine whether his blood sugar level is high or low, evaluating the impact of foods and activities on his blood sugar level, and understanding how stress, illness, and other severe conditions affect the blood sugar level.

To lessen the discomfort associated with glucose monitoring, vivalyf innovations is developing a noninvasive glucometer called EzLyf. People with diabetes will gain greater self-sufficiency in measuring their best lifestyles thanks to this non-invasive glucometer. EzLyf distinguishes out as a more flexible, affordable, and simple plug-and-play glucose monitoring system in this aspect.

On November 7, India celebrates National Cancer Awareness Day. The importance of greater public knowledge of cancer prevention and early detection is highlighted by the day. In order to provide cancer treatment facilities across the nation, the National Cancer Control Programme was launched in 1975. Every year, India reports over 1.1 million new cases. The likelihood that a patient would survive is decreased by the fact that two thirds of cancer cases are detected in an advanced stage. Numerous initiatives have been made to boost study on cancer prevention and early detection. Dr. Harsh Vardhan, the Indian Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, first declared November 7 as National Cancer Awareness Day in September 2014. This day is commemorated annually to raise awareness of early detection and to discourage living cancer-causing lifestyles.

National Cancer Awareness Day is observed on November 7 to coincide with the birthdate of the Nobel Prize–winning physicist Madame Curie. Marie Curie, who was born in Warsaw, Poland, in 1867, is renowned for discovering radium and polonium and for making a significant contribution to the fight against cancer. Her research paved the way for the creation of nuclear energy and radiotherapy for the treatment of cancer.

It's time for the season of happiness, celebrations, sparkling lights, tasty treats, and munchies! Diwali is one of the most anticipated holidays in the country, even though we live in a place where there are celebrations and festivals every day of the year. Monday, October 24, is the festival's date this year. For Hindus, Diwali is a holiday that is extremely important because it symbolizes the triumph of happiness over despair, light over darkness, and good over evil. Diwali is commemorated in Hindu mythology as the day that Lord Rama returned to his hometown of Ayodhya after vanquishing the evil king Ravana. With his wife Sita and brother Lakshman, he returned to Ayodhya after a 14-year exile. To mark the occasion, the entire kingdom is decorated with celebratory diyas and lamps.

This custom is still followed today as people decorate their homes for Diwali with candles and traditional earthen lamps (diyas), making sure that every entry and boundary is lit up. The goddess Lakshmi is also said to visit and bless her devotees on earth from above. People visit their loved ones, present customary treats, and well wishes, and organize get-togethers to spread the holiday cheer.

On that note, Vivalyf here's wishing you all a very happy and bright Diwali!
Let each diya you light bring a glow of happiness on your face and enlighten your soul. Happy Diwali!
