*Hope Disability Centre mourns the loss of a devoted soul*

Hope Disability Centre is deeply saddened by the loss of one of its most valued team members, Bashir Ahmad Wani, resident of Wayil, Ganderbal, who passed away on the evening of Thursday, 18th September 2025, after a month-long illness.

Bashir Sahib worked as a driver at the Centre, but his contribution went far beyond his job title. He was a vital part of our daily work—hardworking, cheerful, and always ready to help. His kind nature and dedication made him loved by both staff and beneficiaries.

In a field built on care and compassion, Bashir Sahib stood out. He treated every person with respect and often went the extra mile to make sure they were comfortable and supported. Helping others wasn’t just part of his job—it was something he truly believed in.

His passing has left a deep void in our hearts. The Centre will miss his presence, his smile, and the quiet strength he brought to every day. His memory will stay with us for a long time.

We offer our sincere condolences to his family and pray to Almighty Allah to give them strength and patience in this difficult time. May his soul be granted the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous. Ameen.

World Physiotherapy Day
Physiotherapy is not just a profession but a promise to help people heal, move freely, and live with dignity. World Physiotherapy Day is observed every year on September 8. This day reminds us of the transformative power of movement and care.
This year’s global theme, “Healthy Ageing”, resonates deeply with our mission. Physiotherapy is more than treatment: it’s prevention, empowerment, and freedom.
We proudly reaffirm our commitment to compassionate care, inclusive rehabilitation, and the dignity of every patient we serve.

Emergency Response – Jammu Floods

In the wake of the devastating cloudbursts and floods in Jammu, which have tragically claimed lives, injured many, and displaced over 5,000 people, the She Hope Society's Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) team has been on the ground, responding with urgency and care.

For the past five days, our team has been actively engaged in rescue operations and assessing the needs of those affected. Today, we’ve begun distributing essential relief supplies to help families cope with the immediate aftermath of this disaster.

We are especially moved and inspired by the unwavering commitment of our Director , Mr Sami Wani who, despite sustaining injuries last week,is out in the field leading efforts and distribution of relief and rescue.

We stand in solidarity with the resilient people of Jammu and remain committed to supporting them through this crisis.
