*1. What is Fire?*
Ans: Fire is a chemical chain reaction, were required three elements
*1.* Heat
*2.* Oxygen
*3.* Fuel.
*2. How many types of fire classifications are there and what are those?*
Ans: There are five types, A.B.C.D.K
*Class A:* Ordinary combustible
Ex: Paper, Wood, Garbage, Plastics.
*Class B:* Fire involves inflammable liquid
Ex: Petrol, Diesel.
*Class C:* Involves in Electricity
Ex: Switch panel, Boards.
*Class D:* Metal fire
Ex: Magnesium, Potassium, Aluminium.
*Class K:* Kitchen fire.
Ex: Cooking oil, Animal fat,Vegetable fat.
*3. What are the colour codes of fire extinguisher?*
Ans:
*A-* red
*B-* Cream
*C-* Blue
*D-* Black
*K-* Silver
*4. What will you do in case of emergency situation?*
Ans:
*1*. Inform the surrounding people by raising alarm.
*2.* If it is small fire I try to extinguish the fire with extinguisher.
*3.* Inform the fire department and exit to the assembly point in case of
Big fire.
*5. How will you evacuate the area in case of emergency arise?*
Ans:
*1.* Sound the alarm by triggering (breaking the glass) the fire alarm actuator.
*2.* Evacuate the building by proceeding toward the emergency exit door.
*3.* If you have to pass through the smoke, keep low and follow the corridor towards the emergency exit.
*4.* Proceed to the Assembly Point and wait for further instruction from the Evacuation warden.
*6. Types of PPE and their purpose?*

*1. Head Protection: -* Hardhats
*2. Ear protection: -* Earmufs, Ear plugs.
*3. Nose: -* Respirators supplying air, Respirators Cartiage type.
*4. Eye protection: -* Goggles, Safety glasses.
*5. Face: -* Face shield.
*6. Body: -* Coverall, overall, full body suits.
*7. Hand glows: -* Neproni Butyl, Lactive Corrosive liquids.
*8. Shoes: -* Steel tow, Slip resists shoe, Non-Conductive shoe.
*7. What is fire alarm system or fire control panel system how many types are there?*
Ans: Fire alarm is a automatic Electronic Panel which will indicate when the fire occur. Fire alarm is connected to smoke detector and heat detector. When smoke comes down the detector will give the signal to alarm panel and the alarm gives the indication water is 9.12 meters. Or fire alarm control unit (FACU), is the controlling component of a fire alarm system. The panel receives information from environmental sensors (Heat detectors or smoke detectors) designed to detect changes associated with fire.
There are four basic types of panels: coded panels, Conventional panels, Addressable Panels, and Multiples systems.
*8. What is smoke and heat detector and how does it work?*
Ans: Smoke: It detects the smoke if there is a fire on work side or building.
Heat Detector: It detects the temperature in case of fire.
*9. What is Risk Assessment?*
Ans: It is a systematic way to identify the hazards and to control those hazards for a specific task.
*10. What is work permit system and how many types are there?*
Ans: It is a formed documented control process which takes accounts of all the foreseeable interactions between the workers, the environment and the associated hazards. There are seven types of work permit they are:-
*1.* Hot work permit
*2.* Cold work permit
*3.* Electrical work permit
*4.* Working at height work permit
*5.* Excavation work permit.
*6.* Acid area work permit
*7.* Vessel entry work permit.
*11. Definition of Hazard, Accident and Near Miss?*
Ans: *Hazard: -* Anything which has a potential to cause Harm, or Damage to the Property.
*Accident:-* Unplanned Unwanted Events which Results Harm or Damage to Property.
*Near Miss:* In an Incident in which no Injury or Damage.
*12. How many types of safety reports are there?*
Ans:
Weekly,
Monthly,
Annual.
*13. What is tool box talk or safety induction?*
Ans:
*Tool box Talk: -* General training provided to the worker before they start the work.
*Safety Induction:* These training provided to the new employees about general safety rules, emergency response procedure hazard the accident reporting.
*14. Definition of Safety?*
Ans: Free from accident or hazards.
*15. How to use fire extinguisher?*
Ans: *PASS*
*P -* Pull the pin.
*A -* Aim the Hose at Base of Fire.
*S -* Squeeze the handle.
*S -* Sweep the hose.
*16. What kind of safety precaution do you take to protect people, property and environment at work site?*
Ans:
*1.* Provide training to the people
*2.* Conducting inspection
*3.* Safety meetings
*4.* Preparing risk assignment.
*5.* Monitoring.
*6.* Regular audit.
*17. What is fire sprinkler system and how does it work?*
Ans: Sprinkler system is installed inside the building. It is working under the water pressure. On the end of pipe lines sprinkler head is fitted the sprinkler head is rated to 68 degree. In case of fire the temperatures will be increase and the sprinkler head will broke and get sufficient water with pressure.
Distance between the sprinkler head is 3 meters. The coverage area of the sprinkler water is 9.12 meters.
*18. How many types of hazards are there and what are those?*
Ans: There are five types of hazards.
*1. Physical hazards: -* caused by physical energy noise vibration.
*2. Chemical hazards: -* through chemical.
*3. Biological hazards: -* through microorganism, bacteria, virus fungi.
*4. Ergonomic hazards: -* Caused by manual building.
*5. Cytological hazards: -* Caused by work stress pressure.
*19. How to inspect the fire extinguisher?*
Ans:
*1.* we need to check not obstructed.
*2.* Check pressure.
*3.* Check for safety pin should to intext.
*4.* No physical cracks.
*20. What you will do if you find any unsafe condition on work site?*
Ans: Unsafe condition should be reported and fixed.
*EVACUATION PROCEDURE:*
• Don’t Panic & Stop Work
• Proceed to the nearest emergency exit & Don’t run, walk fast
• Use the staircase, never use the elevator
• Walk along the LEFT side of the staircase, Leave the right side for Life Savers and rescue team
• Give First preference to the physically challenged, pregnant mothers and the elderly
• Proceed to the safe assembly point & Do not re-enter the building until the signal is given
• Max. time for evacuation – 2.5 to 3.0 minutes
